Fun fact: the little girl who didn’t speak English is actually part of the “Sami” people. It’s an indigenous group of people who come from northern Norway, northern Sweden, northern Finland and northern Russia. What’s so great about it is that she also speaks sami, which is a endangered language, and only about less than 25 000 people speak it in the whole world.

This movie deserved the Oscar

Jesper's father is actually one of my favourite parents in any movie i've seen. He's a very wealthy and influential person but he does not want his kid to be some spoilt layabout, he puts his kid to work like a poorer person would have to do, he actually wants his kid to earn his place and makes him get off his ass and do something, then does both follow through on his promise to his kid then respects his kids decision. Jesper's dad is awesome.

I love how I only had to see the last scene to shed some tears, this movie is so wholesome. And I love your reactions Sophie!!

My God when I first saw this movie I wasn't sure what to expect,but I was really surprised. The animation is phenomenal, the atmosphere is beautiful, the characters are amazingly well fleshed out, and the story made me almost cry. I watch it every year at Christmas now. And the main character is like emperor kousco (butchered that spelling) On a side note you will love rise of the guardians. It's incredibly underated and sooo well animated.

That spark you see in the eyes of the teacher when she realizes that kids actually WANT to learn, is the second best aprt of the movie, only second to Margu riding her sled.

Ah yes, this town reminds me of my upbringing. Being taught about all these conflicts with neighboring republics but every time I'd suggest to stop fighting and looking for more civil solutions, I'd be called a traitor disrespectful to all the people who died in the past (not that long ago and hundreds of years ago). The way I see it, finding a way to end the conflict is the best way to honor all who died but what do I know...

I just watched this movie last night during a pretty major snowstorm, I was so delighted to see that you made a video about it after I spent 3 hours cleaning up after said storm, it was great way to relax with a hot cup of cocoa. Thank you Sophie! :)

Love this movie so much. I saw it in passing as I was searching Netflix, said "Eh, might be fun." Turned out to be one of my favourite Christmas movies of all time. Absolutely hilarious. Absolutely heartwarming.

This was truly a great and touching movie, but I'm twice as happy that it's 2D animated.

Before I click play: "I'm not going to cry this time. I got this." By the end: "Why are my eyes so sweaty?" This is by far the best Christmas movie. I've watched this every year since it came out as a holiday tradition.

The old cliche of "Christmas in July" ..... Funny how I'm watching this reaction on the 1st and I'll probably re-watch the movie later today! This is such a precious story!! I'm happy the movie got the recognition it totally deserved!! It's now in my top 5 of Christmas movies!!

When I saw you uploaded, I realised I had to watch the movie first on my own because I hadn't. Now I'm here, fresh off watching Klaus and I STILL don't know why this movie made me cry so much. I literally had to get a box of tissues when I realised me crying isn't going to be a one time thing a quarter into the movie. Oh my god, YES! Rise of the Guardians after this is gonna be good! GIRL! NOT TOOTHLESS BEING DEAD! Well, when he actually dies, his skeleton shouldn't be hANGING like that! D: Jesper really be pulling his weight though. He didn't give up and he didn't try to get (possibly bribe/blackmail) someone into doing the work for him because I feel like he could've done that. Ahh I love this so much, it’s amazing that all of this is 2D with stunning lighting and the working/independence arc is typical but unexpected in a Santa origin

I love your reactions and you show how much you care about the ones you love most so keep doing what you love. I know this is your choice and decisions but I got a ton of suggestions of what you could react to as well. Dreamworks The Croods (the first and it's arguably better sequel). A pretty underrated movie about a prehistoric family and their crazy adventures that does give us some good lessons about the importance of family and it's issues they are known for. Rise of the Guaridans. Another Dreamworks film. Yet, this movie didn't do well but I think somebody like you might enjoy it. Blue Sky Studios Robots. Another highly underrated film about robots (the nuts and bolts kind) but lots of good lessons too that I think you might like. Just hope you think of these suggestions and decide if they are worth your time giving a try.

Jesper and Klaus remind me of Kuzco and Pacha.

This movie was a step from becoming a máster piece. I think they drop the ball with the "mágic" ending. All the thing about the mc growing a beard and becoming old and all was a setup for him becoming the next Klaus and in a way being the "Claus" that end becoming an icon even having a mss Claus also helping. With this movie can ebd having a message of passing the tradition down to next generations. Instead they were with Klaus become q mágic being... I know what they change this, because it kinda kill the mágic illusion for kids but i still wished they went with it.

Okay, I'll say it: The filmmakers are well aware of the ship Klausper, and actually widely support it, even going as far as to share fan art for it among each other. I believe their words were that wasn’t the original intention, but they were flattered that fans saw it that way. Also that the fans made clear that it's meant to be taken as bi positivity.
