the way I didn’t get why it was called the notebook until after I finished recording 😂 this is my initial reactions, not an analysis.
I filmed this ages ago, and now that the strikes are over, I can finally post it! This is my reaction to watching The Notebook for the first time.

In the book they kiss in the rain, but he gets them clothes in the house and there is a great scene by the fire where he waits for her to take the lead. In the book her professors what her to continue with art, however Lon doesn't understand her kind of art now does he like it. Noah has the painting she did for him hanging in his house. Noah is way more romantic than Lon ever thought about being. When her mother sows up Noah answers the door and she talks to both of them together and then separately. Allie tells Noah and her mom she loves Lon, but she has always been in love with Noah. She realizes as soon as she sees Lon she wants Noah, but Lon kind of gives her a bad time.

❤️ yeah I’ve never cried in the Notebook either and I’ve watched it so many times! The old people really make you feel though. I was questioning what they thought about love at 17, let alone her being home so late 😂😂

It would've been interesting to see their adult lives together though inbetween all of that

You are forgetting that it was set in the freaking 40's . 17 wasn't that young during those times . I get your point but you also have to look at the fact that it's not modern day set movie , it was set during the 40's 😂

It was 1940 and things were very different. My parents met in 1941. Not many girls went to college. By the way, the story of the couple when they are younger is much better in the book. They meet in 1932, she is 15 and he is 17. When they reunite he is 31 and she is 29. The descriptions of Noah in the book you will think he was actually looking at Ryan Gosling. No Ferris Wheel seen in the book.

I have actually never watched the notebook if you can believe it as well 😅 I have been doing a good job of watching some of the romance or romcom classics I wish I had gotten around to but this hasn't happened yet. I think the only nicholas sparks film I have seen is long walk to remember and i enjoyed it! but that was years ago now. he looks so young here D: she looks much the same though D:

I was very good at seeing classic romcoms, but not romantic dramas

It all goes downhill when you start agreeing with the parents (but I also agree lol). They did James Marston's character so wrong. I watched it once, ages ago and the old people are the only part of this movie that I like. 😅Also thinking you should watch Homeward Bound (for classic animal feels) and Return to Oz (because it's just wild and I don't know why they let kids watch that).❤

Homeward Bound sounds like an animal dies and I don't think I wanna put myself through that 😂

Do you really think that money is the only thing. Noah was going to fix the house before he met Allie. It was his dream. How about she actually loves Noah. In the book he helps a man build up his business in New Jersey and he leaves Noah $70,000 and he hires help with the house. Houses were $50,00, but Noah made 40 cents an hour. My dad made $11 a week. She put Lon off for 7 years.

It is 1940 and it is not fair to try to put it in today. So you think her pulling his pants down to make it near impossible to get down was okay. Ali is a brat, especially at first. He does not push her to do anything in this movie. You couldn't google a damn thing in 1940. Stop putting this movie where it does not belong.
