If you’re looking for a great leg-stretcher of a hike from the Zion NP Visitor’s Center, the Watchman Trail is the perfect option. Often overlooked, the Watchman Trail offers a fun and relatively easy fast track into Zion’s natural landscape. After a few hundred feet of climbing, you’re rewarded with a viewpoint showcasing the iconic Watchman peak and Zion Canyon. And because it’s not a big-name hike, you often don’t get the big crowds here.

I did this hike a couple years ago and after watching your video it turns out I never finished the hike. I stopped at the area you mentioned people tended to stop. The sun was setting and my friend and I didnt want to get stuck in the dark but definitely planning on doing the entire thing when I go later this year!

One tip for avoiding the shuttle buses: Rent electric bicycles from just outside the park and ride them into the park. So much better than shuttle buses and crowds!

100% With you! 👍 I'm creating a hiking tips video too, and that was on there. For anyone reading, most shuttle stops have bike racks. The one at the Grotto even has tools and an air pump! Lots of spots to rent them in Springdale too.

I have! Fun obstacle course... I wanted to do a guide this trip but the Kolob area was experiencing serve monsoon conditions and I didn't want to do the canyon there. Planning on covering it in my next trip.

Our bus driver stopped and waited for two hikers to cross the crosswalk. Good discipline because she was only 200 feet from the bus stop. We came to a complete stop at Grotto stop because of a big rockslide at Weeping Rock. Lots of dust in the site. People were almost struck
