Jirayah's death, Obito's death (episode 120), The death of the Third Hokage with the destruction of Konoha and Asuma's death were tough. But Itachi's death was painful and shocking since it was clear his arc wasn't concluded. Also Yahiko death sceen was (literal) spine-piercing betrayal. Remember Kakashi and Gara were both killed but ...

Kisame still went out like a champ. Dude bit off his tongue to wake himself up and even had himself eaten alive just so info on his allies aren't leaked. It's no wonder Guy had nothing but respect for his actions even if he kept forgetting his name

Jiraiya's death still hurts me to this day The moment Obito snapped still scares to this day. It scares me even more that in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, you could see the blood of every ninja you, the player, killed

I was actually surprised that they let us play that brutal moment in Storm 4… it’s one thing to see the brutality, it feel crazier when you are the one executing it, even if it’s in a video game… Obito was going Punisher mode that entire battle. Storm 4 is one of my favorite anime games, but yeah… that scene was crazy to playthrough.

True, Hidan killing Asuma was brutal I cried the most seeing Asuma's death. At that time I was so angry with both the akatsuki members that I wished Shikamaru to take revenge with them as soon as possible. As it was the first major death of the series.

Zabuza’s death was a heartbreaking one especially when he showed everyone how human he was and how he cared for haku like a son. Obito’s descent into darkness is sad and spine chilling but all the more great after his rampage against the hidden mist assassins. Jiraiya’s death hurts even now, Naruto’s godfather and mentor, it hurt so much after playing ultimate ninja storm 2 and feeling the pain before the rest of those who loved him. Itachi was hated by everyone for what he did to his clan but during shippuden, we find out the truth as to why. I felt like sasuke during that revelation and cried

The last moments of the battle at Final Valley, where Naruto and Sasuke are completely out of Chakra, wildly exhausted, and not even properly using taijutsu, just brawling. Brutal. Violent. Heartbreaking.

Fantastic list. If I were a Naruto character, I'd be a pacifist who adamantly refuses to learn ninjutsu and instead want to learn Ninshu. I'd even refuse to fight classmates or take on violent missions.

The show is TV14 on Netflix at least but that’s OG Naruto but I think Shippuden would be the same if not wore I don’t know if it goes past TV14 though. But that’s my favorite scene in any show ever. Obito is my favorite character in anything period he’s so fuckkn cool. He looks like a badass final boss villain, he’s strong as hell, voice actor was perfects, his mannerisms and way he moves himself is so cool, he has no fear, he came really close to taking over the world and defeating Naruto and the Shinobi Alliance and he had the perfec sad life goes evil redeems himself and gets his girl story.

Yeah discrediting all the pacing, time, effort for the single moment of naruto becoming hokage after 700+ episodes just to have him be tsunade 2.0 and 10x times more weak than his teenager form. Normal way to do it would be while not focusing on naruto and naruto fight scenes atleast when the time was needed for him he should be the biggest powerhouse whereas at this point hes not that different from the rest of the kage

If you're thinking consequences, *think the death of First Hokage's youngest brother and Second Hokage killing Madara's younger brother.* This set up everything in Konoha's history including the number 1 moment here up to the fourth ninja war, giving Madara Uchiha his eternal Mangekio Sharinghan.

I totally disagree with the number 1, I think it should be the number 2 spot. Cause yeah what Itachi did to his clan was muffed up but the death of Hinata by pain was more painful. It almost re released the evil side of the 9 tailed fox after pain destroyed the Leaf village.

Hinata was awake and well in the same episode, they didn't even pull a *Lee or Tsunade* and have her in some sort of coma for a while. They just pulled a *Loki* from the first Thor, showing him alive in the mid-credit scene. If you made a top 100 brutal moments, maybe.

Watchmojo dropped the ball on this one. The most brutal experience for Naruto fans was to see poor sweet innocent Hinata being impaled by Pain’s black rod causing the ONLY time Naruto released all 9 tails and went mad. This list needs a redo.
