The Whale is a pretty great movie, I wouldn't have a problem with him winning an Oscar. Not something I would rewatch a lot, it's pretty rough at times, makes you feel claustrophobic just watching it, and I thought them pushing so hard at the "Christians are the bad guys" angle actually took away from the movie a bit, they ended up accidentally leaving it open for interpretation, but you could tell the interpretation they wanted the viewer to have was that religion was the big baddie. Still a great movie though.

Ehhhhhhhh, I think it's more that he turned down many roles and many scenes for those roles, because of his religious beliefs. There's a big difference there. You're not going to keep getting offers if you're being super picky. He takes what he's comfortable with, and that's fine, and it's resulted in where he is now. He made the bed he lies in and he seems happy to be there.

Please let this be the dumbest thing I read today. Absolutely NONE of the blacklisted actors had zero roles. None. It's what roles that were suddenly NOT available that's the issue. Actors, whom producers and directors would have never thought twice about casting previously, or at the very least a potential option, are suddenly not even on the list. Some deserved it, like Mel Gibson, and some didn't, like Brendan Fraser.

I’m giving this video thumbs down over the term HARMFUL WORD. There are no harmful words only harmful intentions, and blaming the word in the way you’ve done contributes to the war against freedom of speech, which only harms EVERYONE. I would have given Gina Carano the benefit of the doubt had she been decent enough to apologize and explain wtf went through her mind.....but nah, she had to be one of these "boohoohoo I am getting cancelled just because of things I say and do...." person. I'll honestly miss her character and her performance as said character. I don't mind the actress having different political opinions than mine, having people with various opinions is healthy to a society...What she apparently believes in enough to double down on is not healthy or helpful to anything. I would have loved to be able to defend her, I just can't while standing up for what I believe in......I mean, she 100% have the right to say the kind of b.s. she believes in, but a private company definitely has 100% the right not to pay her a salary and keep her as part of the project they are producing....Just like I'd 100% would be free not to watch said show if she still was part of it.....and like people who are oh so shocked of her "being cancel" and blablabla are more than welcome just to watch her upcoming B.S movie or I'm not sure what she's working on instead of watching season 3 of The Mandalorian.
