Soulcalibur: Lost Swords for me.

Overwatch 2 deserved a spot on this list for 3 reasons: 1, The monetization is horrendous. People are wanting LOOT BOXES back. Currency is not in the season pass and new heroes are deliberately strong. Paying grants immediate access. 2, It's a less rewarding game. They removed the systems that worked in the first game and replaced it with a mundane progression system. 3, It is not fun anymore. The game is nothing but lessons through frustration. It lost it's magic going to a 5v5 format and the game continues to lose it's identity patch by patch.

Super Mario Kart is a wonderful game, but the prices for things like gems is outrageous. Add to that the slow steady nerfing as they no longer support the game & any new original content as it heads toward discontinuation. There used to be a nice fresh variety, but now it's just a few tracks with a few annoyingly repetitive variations per tour. One of the most fun ways to get good stuff used to be the green coin store. Getting the coins was a great secondary objective that I used to spend extra time & effort on every week. Now it's not worth it at all. Every OTHER tour they have pretty good rewards (but nothing like they used to have) but the off tour all you really have are green pipes which are nearly worthless. Things are getting worse all the time. New players are at such a disadvantage, it's impossible to be even a little competitive. Worst of all is they seem to be slowly making the AI players harder & making it where you get hit a LOT more often. You can tell they are trying to make people quit. I used to get the Gold Pass even though I hate PTW, but it was a reasonable flat fee of $5 per month for better loot & benefits. Then they started taking out some of the gold level loot so now even it is pointless. This is a really fun game to play. It's a shame they have abandoned it for corporate greed.

War Thunder. Rigged and P2W for a certain nation with broken vehicles, which are made by the same from where are the devs (Russia).

I wouldnt say "RUINED video games". It's normal for free mobile games, they gotta make money somehow. But pay-to win on a game you alrady pay to play, is disgusting.

yeh it sucks because there's rarely unlockables anymore there's just "DLC"

@@XVegeraX No. Take Lol or POE. Free games, played by millions for more than a decade, no pay 2 win. And they are very profitable.

I'm a frame guy but if anyone picks it up now, the amount of work ahead of them is inhumane... UNLESS they spend a bit... So I can totally see it on this list, regardless of how cool the devs are.

You can also just trade people mods and blueprints for the platinum so you don't even have to spend a dime on the game to get it's premium currency. It's been a little while but last time I played Warframe I had around 3000 platinum from selling Riven mods and farming blueprints from void relics.

@@McNugget_Buddy Again, that takes a lot of time, specially to grab stuff people consider valuable, and it also takes time to sit in Trading chat trying to sell. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying it takes an inordinate amount of TIME, the only resource nobody ever gets back.

Nothing you can buy in Warframe gives you any advantage or makes you op. Cosmetics and speeding up building that's it.

Pay for progress is pay to win. You can straight up pay $80 to unlock brand new primes when they come out or grind relics to get the parts then wait 24 hours for each part for 4 parts to then wait 3 full days to craft the frame. So yes its pay to win

@@TastyMango225 its not even pvp and the only pvp aspect of the game isn’t even affected by that. So you could buy prime access to skip a grind but that’s all you’d be doing and the grind is pretty much the point of the game

Speaking of crashes, I remember when most of the 1* ratings on the App Store were just people complaining about crashes. Yet, I've barely had any crashes and is mainly due to how the early era of gacha games required even newer iPhones. Brave Frontier used to state 1GB of RAM/iPhone 5 or newer was required to play the game with optimal performance.

I thought about this one too, I remember being given a mission to unlock a character and thinking "I can pay to do it now, or I can grind for six months."

And i don't know what watchmojo is smoking but warframe even with its flaws is not pay to win, yes it can be extremely grindy but most people will help you find out where parts and mats are.

@@Wilsontripplets yeah. It’s kinda one of those games you shouldn’t start unless you’re into the grind. I love it and have played it for years but it’s not for everyone

​@Wilsontripplets there is nothing "pay to win" about the game. It's more "pay for quicker grinds". I will shamelessly admit that I take breaks from the game and when I return if I see a weapon/frame prime drop that I like I will hit the trade market and shell out the plats. Do you NEED primes to succeed in this game? No, not in the slightest. There's a chunk of weapons and frames that don't require a grid fest and mods drop at a reaonable rate that you can best the game

I've never spent money on Candy Crush either. You don't have to pay to win if you don't want to.

One of my friends played it on one of the phones I had when lending it to him and he told me it was an addictive game. I didn't know it was also a pay-to-win game. By the way, I like the bangs in your profile pic!

They do know, they said it was pay to win because you could pay to unlock guns with attachments before you were high enough level to unlock them for free.

@@TastyMango225 In that way I suppose makes sense, what isn't true though is buying X bundle and somehow the weapon is overpowered. That simply isn't true, you are able to examine the weapon & it's attachments, and then put them on as your own, without having spent a penny, nobody wants to work to unlock anything anymore.

@@TastyMango225 The setup is far from the best for that gun, and it takes the whole of an hour(MAYBE) to level up the gun. You also can't change attachments on that variant, so you can't get the best setup for it even if you have it leveled. I hate Midern Borefare II, but it ain't pay to win in the slightest.

I agree with you. When you buy something in game .you just get addicted and you buy more in game stuff. Waste of money by the way.

Yeah but that isn't the definition of pay to win. Pay to win is defined as just the ability to pay to beat out other players or the game. Which you 100% are heavily able to do and in order to skip the horrendous wait times or RNG for things like prime parts. You are encouraged to do.

They shared only really outdated games in my opinion, but Lords Mobile totally deserves a top spot if they made an update research or focused on mobile games

respect.. heaven forbid someone would actually have to play the game in order to unlock something in game, but everyone just wants the short road instead of putting in the effort.. time and effort is the essence of Warframe

You can trade your parts for platinum with other player pay to win games would not give you the ability to do that

However, back in 2021 they acquired Cryptic Studios from Perfect World. Perfect World are a Chinese ownd company who bought Cryptic Studios from Atari. Never trust anything owned by Chinese companies because you never know where your information was going to, which is why they dropped it in 2021 because the pressure started being applied when it came to the information of the users going to the wrong people.

They removed that mechanic along with the store like less than 6 months after implementing it. Why? No idea. My guess, people found a way to exploit the free chests countless times which could also spawn pretty good orcs when you have over 1k chests, making the premium chests worthless. Granted, you'd need to trash a bunch of orcs.....This worked across all platforms and was impossible to patch out. That's my theory at least. Could be completely wrong on why they removed it.
