Is there a difference? I would say Atrocitus knows how to control it however...so its more a focused rage...which is even more terrifying really.

I love the Red Lanterns. I feel as if they are more like antiheroes than villains. They just have a very different way of dealing justice. For example, during the Brightest Day storyline, Atrocitus and Sinestro found themselves outside a prison, and noticed a bus full of men on death row and an officer next to said bus. Atrocitus asked the officer if the men inside were murderers. The officer, terrified, said yes. And Atrocitus incinerated the entire damn bus with his napalm vomit. Killing every single person inside. Sinestro asked him why he did what he did. Atrocitus responded by saying "Those who take life deserve to lose it." Any other lantern would have sent them straight to another prison. The Reds don't take shit from no one.

He's not technically a villian, more an anti hero. He's an agent of vengence who mainly hunts down those who deserve it most and he's teamed up with other heroes on several occasions

as far as I remember, both were taken to the blood pool to survive their separation, so if regular lanterns weren't near the pool they technically died I believe.

In injustice, autrocitus doesn't seem to be much of a super villain, he seems to serve Justice with rage.

And his best friend is a cat with P.T.S.D. Atrocitus is a badass. Dex-Starr is intense. They're both pretty generally pissed about something... Every time someone says something about being angry, I do my best Atrocitus from Injustice 2: 'RRRRAAAAGE!' Subsequent weird looks or nods of recognition follow lol.

GL:TAS was a unique take on the reds. It's like everybody was drunk on Rankorr's blood and were capable of both constructs and rational thought. Rather than being the mindless rage animals that the comics show them to be, they were just a army of angry people seeking vengeance on the guardians and whoever did them wrong. Once the guardians had accepted their mistake, they laid their uncontrol able rage to rest and withdrew. Not canon, but definitely made the series interesting. I'm happy that form was maintained for Razor in Young Justice. P.s. Neither Atrocitus nor the RL are truly villains. They're vengeful anti-heroes going around seeking revenge where severe wrongdoings have occurred. Like Red Hood, a more vengeful version of batman.

Though they are technically Lantern Corps, I don't really count the Black or White, simply because they were extremes that were rarely seen. Just my opinion though. Personally I like Hope. Honestly, I'd say there isn't any single Ring that could be called evil, merely the people that use them. As an example, lets look at the Sinestro Corps. He uses fear right? Imagine if Batman got a hold of one of his rings (and it worked for him). The Sinestro Corps is considered evil because of how Sinestro is portrayed, but what happens when you put a hero behind it such as Batman? Technically the Black Lantern Corps is the closest to being evil, but even then, it's simply the portrayal of death, not actual malice. The Red Lanterns are the most merciless, sure, but that doesn't make them evil.

Imagination is a key factor in all Lantern rings. The light provides the fuel, the wearers's imagination shapes the energy it and forms constructs. This holds true for all Lantern corps except for Black Lanterns.

FNG ™ What I meant is; if the ring itself is like the engine in a car, then the wearer's imagination is the steering wheel. Without the wearer's decision and direction the rings just generate raw energy, though it is true that not all lantern corps use traditional constructs.

This guy is a villian, who sometimes does good. If you google him you will see all the evil he has done and some good. He wants to kill all Green Lanterns and the Guardians, even though he is aware the Manhunters destroyed his home planet, he wants to kill Sinestro since he was once the greatest Green Lantern, he killed a shit ton of Air Force troops when he first arrived on earth, he has tried to kill William Hand, he wants to kill Larfleeze since he will not give up the greed entity, and that is all I can think of off the top of my head. The good he has done: mostly kills only criminals, tried to capture the Lantern Corp entities as he viewed them as a threat (though he wanted the rage entity to posses him so he will become more powerful), and has fought with other Lantern Corps to prevent Blackest Knight.
