Aswin Frn So I plan to buy a JBL Xtreme in a week... Should I update it for the 'No distortion' firmware update from the JBL connect app? I saw a comment where someone complained that it made the speaker less bass near 60% Volume, And once I update I won't be able to go back. So should I update the JBL Xtreme?

I bought this speaker 2 weeks ago. I also have the Extreme and Flip 4 as well. This speaker is absolutely AMAZING! I'm going to by a 2nd to put them in L and R mode. I submerged mine completely several times with no issues. I never really thought of JBL before. I had JL Audio, Pioneer, Sony, Cerwin Vega, Audiophile, Bose, but JBL has captured my heart with their sound and technology. Hopefully they keep up the great work.

Aditya Chafekar no not at all. I'm sure it eventually get worne out like normal batteries but not for me completely happy with this purchase get it. The cheapest I could get it from is microcenter for 180$
