Privatisation of required monopoly utilities is the parasite. It exists to feed off us.

Nationalise- this is a failing monopoly and consumers have no choice. Therefore it should be nationalised.

Building more houses without upgrading drains.. hardly takes a genius 😂

Exactly this. Just shove a load of houses in areas not designed for it without upgrading the core infrastructure. Same goes for Schools GP's etc...

@DOOM3DGUY when I left primary school. They built a new one. The town doubled in size but not the school. They added a few buildings but no where near big enough. I do wonder what the thinking is behind this. No sense at all

Too bad Sky doesn't say the full story, that the water companies have had more than enough revenue for the required investments for years, but rather they preferred to pay gigantic dividends/bonuses to their shareholders😞

Who’s at fault here ? The water companies? The councils ? But definitely not the public so why do the public get lumbered with the cost again?
@marky555

why now? because the privateers already took massive profits and will SCAMper away and the public will have to do the fixes

No shame on us as the finest are less effort than what the fines are supposed to fix. Fine them to Oblivion. Then they either fix the problem or go bust and the public get them back for free.

Shut up. Nothing to do with that at all, it's all to do with how we manage the water entering the system and the increases in that water.

It was actually the EU's anti competition laws that forced member states to outsource all their infrastructure & services to private companies or corporatise their services & run them as a business. But yeah its all because of Brexit.

They’ll invest billions into their privately owned network (that was built under nationalisation and so for the most part didn’t cost them a penny) as long as the public pay for it and they don’t get fined too much. The ******g brass neck of it! One of the so called main reasons for privatisation was that the companies would invest in “their” networks and infrastructure so the state/public no longer had to.

have the royals drink from that river… see how how quickly it’s cleaned. companies are only getting away with it because someone’s pockets are getting lined. same with fox hunting… it’s illegal, but someone is getting paid or all those toffs on horse back would get arrested tomorrow.
