Nature is definitely therapy, my son has autism, he loves overlanding. He has grown in amazing ways being out in nature and exploring. When we stay at campgrounds and I see him play with other kids in ways that I didn’t even knew he could. It’s amazing what team hunt has accomplished not only for other families but for hunter. He is an amazing kid .

ALL people thrive better outside. We were not designed to live inside and not be outside and active. I found this out when I became limited with a Disease and stuck at home. I am now at least working at my shop and busy much to my doctors shagrin. Everyone get outside. Covid did not help. All of you inspired My son, my best friend and I to start an Overlanding non profit to help any service member retired or active. Keep up the fantastic work.

Thank you for sharing teamhunt. My hat is off to you guys!!! We homeschool our kids and one of the huge benefits to this is that my kids get hours of outdoor time every single day. Then on the weekends, we are all outside together. Life is good. Make life what you need it to be and forget what everyone else thinks.

My son has CP and a diffuse brain injury at birth. We have spent a tremendous amount of time in therapy and continue it weekly. I grew up in the woods and loved the outdoors, and i wanted to share that with him. It was hard, because i didnt know where to start. Where could a 4 y/o with CP be able to go hike, but after looking into Hunts website and digging a little bit, ill be building an overlanding rig (little by little, make it a hobby for me and my son), and we will be getting back in the woods! Awesome video, awesome families, and hope to one day see you on a trail somewhere off the beaten path! Best wishes

Gob bless the Hunt family. One of or possibly the most rewarding jobs (and as a volunteer camp counselor) I've enjoyed was working with children and adults with physical disabilities both in a rehabilitation setting or gym and in summer camps. The physical and occupational work was rewarding enough but to see them smiling and laughing in recreational activities was priceless. Awesome video guys! Thank you for sharing.

As a kid sometimes we brought along some plaster of paris so we could take imprints of foot prints we come across . I spent a few days in Vernal Utah back in 1990 with the wife and kids , there was a really nice KOA (I had a truck with a camper back then) on the west side of town and of course we went to dinosaur national monument and saw the dig and hiked the petroglyphs and green river , great place ! From there we headed into the White River national forest ... nice seeing some of that again .

Hey guys! I've had my Falcon Pro for a bit longer than you and figured a couple things out. If you haven't figured this out yet, if you move the rear part of on the strut towards the front of the tent, you can zip the tent easier. My fabric on the sides was way too taut and the zipper kept jamming. By shortening how much the tent opens just a little, it's WAY better. Another trick to the tent is to put hose clamps on either side of where the support bar attaches. In strong winds it can slowly walk to the side and if it goes far enough it will fall on your head. The hose clamps prevent it from moving side to side ever when it's windy.

I'm new to watching your channel but will definitely be binging for a bit on the great adventures it looks like you go on. While watching this one I thought how cool your 4runner would look with black multicam wrap and your bear logo on the door to match the hat you were wearing. We ran into to team hunt in Ouray when they were on this adventure with you but you weren't with them at the time. Hope to see you an expo or something in the future. That camp spot was so amazing! Helpful tip for your wife when making chicken burgers: use a cover and add just a bit of water or chicken broth in the pan to help steam them as they cook. With the chicken needing to be cooked all the way through unlike a burger, it helps cook them quicker and more evenly.

Loving this trip you have been on. 👍🏻 I listened to what you had to say about the Roof Nest tent and there are striking similarities in your observations to my CVT. When it comes to the zippers maybe a zipper lubrication will help, I haven't dealt with the colder climates yet here to say if it's a solve-all solution. The canvas poke when closed is pretty irritating. I'd like to see your solution to this as maybe I can work on getting mine addressed too.

Can anyone tell me how rough a ride it is to do overlanding? My wife and I are getting up there in years and i have back surgeries.. that said, I can't carry a backpack anymore let alone walk miles over rough terrain... hitting easy to moderate trails to get us out into the backcountry with a set up like these , seems like a legit way for me to keep getting out there... Any ideas or suggestions for a soft riding setup?

That dude with the gladator doesnt know what he's talking about, those jeeps have plenty of stock power. lmao Land cruisers do fine with their little 6 pot tractor engines. Talking about sucking at driving at elevation, wait until he has taken a 60 or a 80 up a mountain. Now that's slow!
@LifestyleOverland
@LifestyleOverland 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think he was saying it's slower than a Land Cruiser. Just that the final build footprint and weight diminished the performance so much that he wanted something which would be more than capable for their travels both off and on pavement. As it's said, there's no replacement for displacement. (Also one of the same reasons our 45 series has a 350 hp 400 ft lb Ram Jet Chevy engine in it... 😂)

@LifestyleOverland
@LifestyleOverland 2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you're making several assumptions there. 1) It isn't pristinely graded. Video never does it justice and I don't always capture the worst parts. 2) It's much easier on your suspension, drive train, and the trail itself to use your tires as a first line of defense. 3) It's a much smoother ride for passengers which is extremely important when they have health issues. 4) While it's not the worst road in the world... Why intentionally jar yourself with a rough ride when you have the tools to make it so smooth? Seems like a smart move to us... But you do you. 👍

@@LifestyleOverland Yeah and if you have to swerve hard to avoid missing something it will peel a tire or two off the rim and roll the vehicle and maybe kill someone! I say there is a reason why you don't run them low, it destroys the carcass for starters, and it's down right dangerous for seconds! maybe the people with health issues should stay at home if it's that bad or get a suspension upgrade but letting the tires down that low is just being a wanker and flat out stupid, but hey go right ahead, roll the vehicle, and kill the kids in the car with your stupidity instead of taking good advise, it's like I said.
