In this exciting follow-up, we put our water divining skills to the test as the drill rig, also known as the "Truth Meter," gets to work. Join us as we uncover whether our divining was on point or led us astray. The remote Australian Outback holds its secrets tight, and we're determined to reveal the truth about water access in this challenging environment. Special thanks to Craig from Pilbara Drilling, who worked with us on the Windidda job, making this exploration possible.

Easy drilling, I have seen water bores drilled with "mud punchers" circa 1988, the drill bit was raised and dropped, chips pumped out with water, slow but wells where only drilled to 20m approx, what amazed me was with limited technology they still got the job done, no 4WD 1910-1965 in those days stations used wooden planks to get over sandy/buggy ground, Jack I know you are new to station life but doing a great job.

An old man from Ballina who did water divining told me, once he found it, he then used a watch on a string to determine the depth. The amount of circles in a particular time was how many feet down.

Ex Ballina boy, an old bloke did our dowsing in east ballina, 24ft 24 bounces on the wire. I learnt his technique and have successfully found a stream on our new property in qld, I've also tested it on existing farm bores down to 96ft, that bore pumps at 86ft now the aquifers have a bit more water in them

I have drilled over 30 wells and found it more exciting than Las Vegas. It almost never comes out as you imagine. Once hit water at four feet. Moved to the next spot a mile away and found nothing to 400 feet. Hard to understand how the water sands came about. Did the water flowing create the sands or did the water just find it.

Looks good Jack. Looks like you may have been lucky the fire wasn’t worse. How was the depth compared to when you divined it? Don’t recall if the divining came up with a depth on your other video.
@jack_out_the_back
@jack_out_the_back 7 ай бұрын
We didn't try to work out the depth with the divining, but the first hole was 36m and the second we went to 38. First hole we got moisture at 34, the second at 33 and then it started streaming really well, incredibly good supply.

Hi Andrew, to irrigate here it will take a lot of permits and clearances, we desperately want to, however it's cost prohibitive. I don't believe that anyone is successfully irritating in the entire Goldfields region of western Australia.

Need 35000 dollars of electricity to pump a small field. I can look into details if you want, ie how many acres this pivot covers.

@@jack_out_the_back I don’t mind the adds on channels I like, knowing the people who put the content together hopefully get a few dollars for all their time and effort, as I am sure it cuts into their day and night filming and editing so we can watch great content. I would guess a lot of you tubers don’t make a lot of money vs their lost time and effort. I have followed this channel from the start and Jack does a fantastic job with this channel. That’s why I always like these videos, even before I finish watching and also comment quite often as I understand it also helps with payment. Hope that is the case. Keep up the great work Jack.
