Awesome. I am short for words. It amazing how such research can help revive cultural memory and encourage cultural participation. I liked the fact that after seeing the research video clips, the younger generation became interested in this musical heritage of their ancestors and went further to participate.

enjoyed this documentary film tracing the roots of Afro Venezuelan culture of resistance and preservation of African cultural traditions . One gripe though the guy showing Tatiana around the clearing house for slaves newly arrived on ships from Africa whitewashes the role of Europeans when explaining how Africans came to be captured and enslaved . There were few if any who were ' prisoners of war ' from inter tribal wars (although some African chiefs/kings did collude with European slavers ) the vast majority of Africans were captured during raids carried out for the sole purpose of kidnapping men women children to be sold into slavery . England France Spain Portugal Holland and also the U.S. being the chief protagonists in what he rightly calls this shameful but lucrative commerce .

Esa es la gran gratitud,.... que las madres muestran en ese lenguaje vital ....que es nacer en esta generosa vitalidad.... en esta tierra con su amado cielo y todo...regenerador de la bondad.... es tan fácil vivir... que los elementos que constituyen la formación del todo ....es vivir vacaciones en este paraíso.... que descubrió la mujer.... ellas son el principio de las razas humanas.. las estancias del amado sol.... quien cubre nuestra piel de colores..el estimado arco iris... forma las razas formadas por sus diferentes colores....esa unidad en la totalidad el la libertad ...dad..dad..dad... de los nativos despiertos que se cubren de la totalidad belleza.... madre tierra...así.. es la estimada mujer cuando ofrece su mas profundo kuerpo encarnado del universo.... con todas las estrellas... la estimada luna ...en sus cambios genéticos... nacer en este paraíso terrenal...sin secuelas ignorantes de tales bellezas.... es cooperar en esos silencios .. desde la soledad ....cubierta por la maravillosa totalidad de lo dado.. dad...dad...dad..
