They are called snowmobiles and not boats for a reason.

You gotta hide that belt better so the clutch doesn’t get wet

Yeah I didn’t cover up by the running board and I think that’s how it got wet

There is a seam on the left side where water leaks in and gets on the belt. That seam needs to be duct taped then you will be able to go on the water till you run out of gas!

I heard that belt slippage. Water based lubrication not good here lol, but at least you lucked out with the water being shallow. How did you get the sled to shore? It looks like even if you were able to dry the belt, the water still would hit it, and even then, I can't believe it was all that shallow?

My buddy and I had to hand bomb it out. One guy on each end kind of lifting and pulling at the same time lol

We used to run water a lot when I was younger. You have to duct tape the hood vents next time. Go have fun and don't listen to the snowflakes...

And ... That's why it's called a snowmobile ..

There’s one thing I’ll never do with my 20k sled… only creeks I cross are getting to riding zones. This is an east coast fad that refuses to die.

Drill clean out the water in few minutes. Start it up go again

@@samiirai Most folks out here just take our sleds to the mountains because they are made for riding on snow. If you wanna drop 30k on a new turbo and drive it across a lake power to you or anyone who wants to. My original comment stands that I wouldn’t do it with my money 🤷🏼♂️

The belt got wet. We had to pull it out by hand and then once the belt dried it was good to go.
@jeremysadventures8031 Жыл бұрын
Next time don’t hold it wide open 🤣🤣🤦♂️ if you feathered it when the belt got wet you would have carried on but keeping it wide open especially once the belt slipped didn’t give the clutch a chance to close/open and quickly dry it.

lol, people do it all the time. He just did it wrong, you need to close up airvents so you do not get water on the drivebelt. Though you alaskaguys knew how to snowmobile???
