Drive with me and take a quick cruise down Water Street which is also know as Downtown Henderson. This area is part of a multi phase redevelopment project to revitalize the downtown part of Henderson. Phase 2 and 3 will involute office spaces and housing. These are all independent small business owners, and who doesn’t love supporting small biz owners ?
There are a lot of great new dining spots such as Biscuits & Bourbon (a popular brunch spot), Stick’s Tavern, Chef Fleming’s Bakery (this is one of our fav’s esp around the holidays), Public Works Coffee Shop, Gold Mine Tavern which features live local bands on the patio and daily happy hour, & Juans Flaming Fajitas which is super popular and delicious! Highly recommend. Many of the establishments have pet friendly patios which I love.
The new Lifeguard Arena is where the Henderson Silver knights practice and hey have open skate, youth hockey, viewing events & an outdoor amphitheater.
Lovelady Brewing (their beer is delicious btw) and Hardway 8 are gastropub sports bars where you can grab a drink and watch the hockey games.
There’s also 3 casinos for gaming and entertainment.
In order to bring the community together the Water Street District has a whole calendar of events every month that include a Farmers Market, Holiday Parades, Concerts and Last Friday which is similar to 1st Friday that takes place in Downtown Las Vegas and showcases local artists, food trucks & local DJ’s
The Water Street District in Downtown Henderson has a fun, fresh, funky vibe and yet another perk of living in Henderson.
