Here is the flagship cleaner for Water Techs Pool Blaster line: Pool Blaster MAX. And for good reason. This cleaner has excellent power, a well designed vac head and is portable and easy to carry.
Great for a medium to large above ground pool. Great for spot vacuuming a pools step areas, spa and anywhere in general. The standard debris bag is good enough to trap dirt and small particles. Will run for up to 1 hour on a single charge.
If you notice less suction, simply pull it out, empty and clean the debris bag and drop it back in. On two occasions I had to empty it out half way during the cleaning. Not in this above ground pool as it did it perfectly in one shot
.
All around a great vacuum and would recommend.

Is an awesome budget pool vacuum. I have mine for two years already and it works great for people that can't afford an robot pool cleaner.

Had mine about three years-an excellent product. As we live amongst the olive groves we suffer with pollen collecting in patches at the bottom of our pool. I use the finest filter bag (a kind of tough cotton wool fabric which helps, but because the motor is so strong, it can blow the pollen out through the filter. So I use a 1mtr x .40mtr piece of organza material scrunched up loosely and stuffed in the bag. It slows the filter process down without putting extra load on the motor, allowing the pollen to settle throughout the bag.

Water Tech® Pool Blaster MAX: This what I would consider to be Water Tech's premier cleaner. It has excellent power, is compact and can be used in a spa, above ground pool and to vacuum your in ground pool no problem. The battery lasts for about one hour on a single charge. It comes standard with this really good layered cotton debris bag which is great at trapping dirt. It is also backed by a one year warranty. A great little vacuum.

wanting this for my own pool opening debris. So it does not clog my cartridges so many times and cause me to remove and rinse them. Am i expecting too much from the little guy?

I want to purchase this one soon. In the meantime I’m using a dreaded garden hose and siphoning out the debris from the bottom... not enjoying that. Lol... I’ve upgraded my above ground pool from 12x30 to 18x48 loving the larger one by far! :) Just need to invest now in a better ladder and soon this little vacuum. Thanks for posting the review on it with the helpful tips. The lube seems to be the most important part to not ruin the vacuum.

Got my Pool Blaster Max yesterday and broke it in today. It doe shave alot of suction for small unit. Did a good job cleaning aswell. Question what is the small black part with 2 prongs for? Can't seem to figure out what that part is for. Thankx for the review.

That is the European plug adapter ;). Yes, this thing has really good suction. Just remember as that Multi-layer bag starts to wear out just clip or tie some of the bottom off and suction will remain good. I use mine 3-4 times a day and I like it.

Not too bad actually. They make a more powerful one in the Volt FX8Li which I prefer over this one.

Hey. I am a professional pool service technician and run into many homes that have no trees and very little debris that gets in. I've been looking for some new ideas to take care of these "spot clean" homes (which is usually just sand) to save a lot of time from setting up vacuum hose to the skimmer and everything else involved. Most are gunite pools. Will this work well in gunite pools and also, do you use this in a professional setting or on your route? Thanks a lot.

Try the Volt FX8li instead with a sand/silt bag.

+RonMiki Angeles del Rosario A more traditional automatic cleaner would work best long term. I have many reviews on my Channel of good suction side or robotic cleaners. They are a solid investment and will keep your pool looking great: www.swimmingpoollearning.com/#!top-automatic-pool-cleaners-of-2016/ccs6 Automatic Cleaner Reviews and Tips: kzfaq.info/sun/PL7E44FEAE1310746D

They have a one year warranty. Contact Water Tech. They will send you a new motor at no charge. Curious - is it the new Li model or the old one with the charging port?

I do just to be safe. That is the only area where water can get in and ruin the MAX. It can't hurt and it makes it easier to turn off and on.

Does the unit need to be out of the water when you turn it off as well? Also, will it clean up white water mold?
@SPL

I would turn it off as soon as it is removed. For that you can try the sand/silt bag.

With the sand silt bag it can pick up some of that. Why don't you look at an inexpensive suction side cleaner instead like the Zodiac Ranger if you are in need of a cleaner.

How would you compare the Pool Blaster Max Li to the Pool Blaster Centennial? I've looked around, but can't find a good comparison as far as suction and reliability go. Thanks!
@SPL
@SPL 6 жыл бұрын
The main difference is that with the Max Li you can use a sand/silt bag to get very fine dirt - like algae dust and D.E. powder. The Max also has a bit more power.

You may want a traditional automatic cleaner for your size pool. But it will work as the battery on the newer units will last for 45 minutes.

I HAVE ONE. FOR THREE YEARS NOW. BATTERY JUST WENT, WONT TAKE A CHARGE. NOW THEY WANT A FORTUNE FORA NEW BATTERY.
@SPL
@SPL 8 жыл бұрын
3 Years, that is great. I have three of them all 1.5 years old now and I use two of them just about everyday. I would say an effective lifespan is about 3 years as eventually the rechargeable port and motor will die. The battery port comes with a new motor so essential it is a new unit - I think it is $100. I would just buy a new one in that case since the Max is only $150 on Amazon. They have a lot of newer units like their retail Volt line. I am using their PoolBlaster Max HD unit now and it is great. Same power as the Max CG but a bigger chamber. Amazon sells it.
