When doing this at home I recommend you install sump first. for video purposes I left it out to make recording easier.

Great video very detailed and helpful unlike the Waterbox instructions in the box. I still have to plumb up my tank so this was very useful for me not to over-tighten the plumbing. 👍

I’ll save everyone 15 minutes: “Waterbox is awesome. You should go buy this awesome thing.” Incidentally, Waterbox is also sponsoring Queenofreef, who is more well known for her own extension rather than her corals. Can’t wait to see how that disaster unfolds.

I remember when reefers would post youtube videos for the fun of it. Now a days hobbysit sound like car salesmen. Its very hard to find quality reef videos.

Nice video . I had two small issues. My manifold had a pinhole leak from the factory. I went without, works fine . Be careful with those plastic hose clamps . Mine failed on the return pump. I ended up having water shoot everywhere. Flooded my hardwood . Stainless hose clamps work like a champ.

That’s nice that they supplied you with a sch 80 gate valve. I wish the plumbing on my tank was as easy as your water box tank. 😁

Can’t recommend the GW skimmer enough. I have the GW12 and man it’s awesome. So quiet and pulls out so much crap.

why wouldn't you make it even easier and use painters tape to tape the bulkheads in place under the tank and then screw the pipes from above onto them? this way you don't have to fiddle around trying to find the hole from down in the cabinet. I mean painters tape is designed specifically not to leave any residue.

This would be a great way. Honestly for me it was super easy doing it this way. The holes are so big it’s easy to align them.

Loved your videos. Quick feedback, your close up shot makes your face blurry. Maybe the camera didnt auto focus?
