I got a request to paint a lighthouse with waves. I really liked painting this one because I got to use two of my favorite colors: Viridian Hue and Turquoise :)
All the annotations on colors and brushes are in the video.
Paper: Hot Pressed, 140lb, 100% cotton watercolor paper.

What a surprise. I love LightHouses very much.We have many, along our coast and some are very beautiful.One of these is on the "Cabo da Roca" the "Western Point of Europe" . The sky, the waves ,the LightHouse are relly beautiful. Thank you Maria for sharing yr work with us.

love all your tutorials. Teaching myself to watercolour, which i never thought i could do. Have had some success, loved some of my paintings and even given some as gifts, but also lots of failures. Sometimes i get discouraged but i get inspired when i watch one of your video's. Thanks Maria

This is my favorite out of all the painting you've done. Others are equally stunning, but I like the simplicity of this. I'll try to paint this, too. I'm just learning watercolor painting and I hope the outcome will be as good as this, or if not, just half as good. You made it look so easy! Thank you so very much..... I have spent all night trying to paint a lighthouse for my husband's birthday card.... I will now follow your steps... except the masking material... I do not have the product... but will improvise ... and then try to pick some up this week for my next project. I really appreciate your typed info on colours, brush size and challenges/tips.... I'm very new and they are wonderfully clear !!

Thank you Kammy, I think bigger waves are easier to paint as you can create that separation and sometimes painting ocean it's easy to overdue it by focusing too much on small details. I love everything about ocean. I have another turtle video coming up soon :)

Hi Katherine :) thank you so much! I do have some real time videos in my KZfaq gallery :) I have over 150 watercolor videos right now but there's few that are edited in real time. Like "watercolor seat turtle real time" "watercolor red oak tree" "watercolor northern lights" it does say Real Time in titles :)
