Keep 2 water jars for watercolor painting. Dedicate one to wash your brushes and the other for "clean" water, so you can switch colors of pigment with a wet brush and keep those colors vibrant. Just wash your brush in the first jar and rinse the cleaned brush in the "clean" water. Use this to wet your brush or add water to pigment.
