I love your style out of all the youtube sketchers. I wish I could get my ink to not bleed like you do. Maybe its my paper...

What wonderful work. Such expressive lines, I love how you work your mediums and get the feeling of the whole scene so splendidly. Would you be so kind as to list the materials you used, paper included if possible? I do love that brush!

@@colourartz Oh thank you so so much! I'm trying ink and watercolor as mixed mediums slowly but surely, but I still know very little about the tools and brands, so this is really helpful. ♥

I'm a beginner at drawing. Would this not be the place for me to tackle something this complex? 🤔 But certainly worth a try. I fell in love with this! ❤️

I have been watching some of your older videos when you were using your broken pen as a dip pen. This looks like a new pen, can you please tell me what make it is. Love your loose style, I am off to practice with my fude 😁

Thanks! 😄 In my previous videos I have been using that broken pen , recently I started using this new pen, the brand is Picasso Fude nib Fountain Pen, and still trying to understand it.😄

Hello! Your painting is so beautiful! I’m trying to teach myself drawing and watercolour and would aspire to be as precise and loose as you are here! Can I ask why you don’t start with big shapes and go straight to details in the drawing? Seems like it’s the recommendation from everyone…
@colourartz2 жыл бұрын
This is a great question! Sketches usually identify a visual center or theme, and that's what we want to focus on in the sketch, so I focus on the theme first. The rest can be omitted and adjusted as needed.

@@colourartz thank you! I am trying to apply the big shapes first but often I forget to come back for certain details like ledges or window panes… Thanks for replying!

You're very welcome! It is also possible to start with a large outline, but it is really difficult to control how much to draw, so I will roughly control a few key position lines first, and then move to the focus part.
