Watercoloring techniques in painting an apple from the Apple Harvest stamp set

Жыл бұрынThis video aims to show when and how to use the alcohol-based inks (eg Stazon) along with the water-based inks (Eg Memento, Sahara Sand Stampin’Up! Ink pads etc) as outlines prior to coloring the images with watercolor.
Using the Stampin’Up! Set Apple Harvest, I will show the two different types of inks’ outcome once coloured. This video will also show techniques such as wet on wet, line and wash and no line watercoloring and eventually achieving two almost realistic looking apples!
Stampin’Up! Ink pads used (water-based)
Daffodil Delight
Real Red
Cherry Cobbler
For the outlines:
Stazon Black Ink (Alcohol-based)
Sahara Sand Ink by Stampin’Up (Water-based)
Round Brush #6
Watercolor paper at least 300gsm and 100% cotton cold pressed.

Hi Mia. Can you recommend a good brand of watercolor brushes? And also a brand of watercolors if we want to use those instead of SU ink? Thank you in Advance!

Hi Rosemarie. The Silver Black Velvet is a good one that I personally use. Round Size #4 and #6. Good watercolor brands - Daniel Smith or Holbein.
