Stunning! The winsor and newton paints are quite expensive... can you recommend an alternative brand please?

Hi Jan, I find with the Winsor & Newton paints if you buy the professional range yes, they can cost quite a bit. However I do also use their student range as well which isn't costly. These are called the 'Cotman Range'. Look for the half pans and not the tubes. Half pans are concentrated pigments which are ideal for working with detail, but can be less costly than buying the tubed versions. I do have an affiliate link for the Cotman half pans, have a look to get some ideas, depending on which country you are in (I've no idea) will depend on both the price and if you need say the American version of Amazon. amzn.to/2mty3Cf I hope this helps and thank you for joining my Patreon Watercolour School! Where do you source your photos of the birds from?

Hi Carole G, it all depends on what I would like to paint. Some I take myself and others from photographers who allow me to use their photos. If you look on Google for royalty free photos there are also many to give you some really good painting projects. Paul :-)
