I love your sheep! A few years ago, when I first started learning to watercolor, I painted your winter sheep; similar to this one. Love this! Memories of my childhood. My Swedish grandfather raised Suffolk sheep. Even brought one of his prized ewes back from his former log cabin home in Montana when it burned down - riding shotgun in his old four door sedan - to our home in Western Washington.

As I read the comments, I find I'm not the only one who simply adores your sheep! As I was just starting out with watercolors, I did the winter one, and it is absolutely one of my favorites! I have it framed and it's become a treasured piece that I put out at Christmastime! This one is just delightful and I'm eager to give it a go! Thank you! The entire time I watched this video I was smiling. It sooo reminded me of my childhood when in the spring my father would get us children bottle lambs. We all have fond memories of our little lambies. Alas, they always left on the truck in the fall. I was a very naive little girl and until I was in my 40s I had always assumed our lambies went on the truck to some other farm where they continued their charmed lives and grew old. I am STILL going with that scenario. ♥

@@KarenRiceArt ok let's see we had the season sheep. Ofcourse there can always be shaun, wich is fun for parents to be or as gift for a nursery, you can never have enough shaun. What else can we edit sheep in? :P other then obvious harvest sheep and so on lol. NEED MORE SHEEP :P

thank you so much for this tut...it was my first effort and im delighted with the result...im currently on a 30 day watercolour challenge having done a 30 acrylic one and the difference has taken me quite a while to adjust...less is more has become my mantra...once again Karen thanks...looking forward to doing more of your KZfaq tuts..

Our little hobby farm has 3_sheep and 2 goats. I play to try to change 2 of the sheep to goats. Loved the other 2 sheep tutorials

@@KarenRiceArt I was fine thank you lol, the one time my ladder did slip it just took me into the tree towards the trunk. I much preferred the other orchards without sheep 🐑 even though the trees were a heck of lot taller 😅

I love your sheep! I did another of your tutorials with your signature sheep as the focal point and it turned out lovely. It was actually one of the first tutorials I ever did just starting out in watercolours. Question for you: People ask to purchase my paintings and often they choose ones I've done based on your tutorials. How do I give appropriate credit, besides, obviously, explaining where I got the inspiration from?

Karen ,do you have any tips for me, I've lost my mojo, I have been diagnosed with bowel cancer and ever since I have really gone off my water colour painting, I 've been painting water for's for over thirty years and really is my preferred medium,any tips to spark my interest again ? Hope I haven't set you to much of a task ☺

I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I hope you make a good recovery. I’m not surprised you are in a slump with watercolour! I would start off again by sketching and painting in a sketchbook. Don’t have any expectations. Paint the subjects you love and don’t be too hard on yourself 😀
