Extremely Good Explanation.. I am planning to go through your other tutorials also.. The V Model is etched in my memory.. Thank you for the same.. Though I am retired, I am getting very interested in the s/w development methodologies.. :) As a constructive criticism, some pronunciation needs to be corrected.. but then again, who does not have an accent? I am glad that your pace of speech and the good delivery more than compensated for the mispronunciation here and there..:)

@QA1

Waterfall is an SDLC model, so are Iterative and Agile SDLC. In the Waterfall SDLC, testing follows coding. Now, STLC has its own set of activities. STLC's requirements' analysis, test planning, test design and environment setup can be done before coding completes in a Waterfall project. STLC's test execution and test closure can only be done after coding completes in the Waterfall project. Hope the overlap is clear to you.

At 14:30 You started explaining that this testing is at the level of this...that testing is at the level of that... What do you mean by these levels?
@QA1
@QA1 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your clear question. I meant which type of testing corresponds to what activity in the V-model. For example, I said Unit Testing is at the level of Coding. If you look at the V-model diagram, you will see that Coding and Unit Testing are at the same height vertically. There is also a line (symbolizes a relationship) between Coding and Unit Testing. The reason is that Unit Testing is detailed testing done on the source code directly.

Sir can we add requirements in the V- Model in the middle phase of software development?
@QA1
@QA1 9 жыл бұрын
Snehal Gondane After an impact analysis, we can add or change requirements irrespective of the current phase of the project. However, each new or changed requirement has to go through each phase like the requirements analysis, system design, coding and so on. Therefore, no, we cannot add any requirement in coding directly.

@QA1
@QA1 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Odunlade, your tasks sounds big if it were an actual oil company. So, I assume that the task is for an academic project or assignment. You may want to start learning about Systems Analysis. That is, start with learning the goals of the company, the requirements and the systems that it has (including the inputs, processes and outputs of each system and it's integration to other systems) and go from there.

+Software and Testing Training Hello good sir, may i ask you among the waterfall, v-shaped and RAD model. Which one is the best.
@QA1
@QA1 8 жыл бұрын
+Muaz Ajam It depends on the nature of the project. For example, if the requirements are fixed (unchangeable and known in advance), then the waterfall model is good. If speed of delivery is critical and requirements are dynamic, then Agile model is good. Thank you for your question.
