Күн бұрынIn this episode we THINK we will SOLVE ALL OUR PROBLEMS … but it doesn’t work out that way!!! Boatlife isn’t for everyone and this watermaker saga is wearing us thin ..:to the point of giving up??

What would you do? Throw in the towel and buy a new WM? Sell off the old one ? Or keep the one you’ve got and try try try again to make it work ?!

Why thanks ! Teamwork makes the dream work. I wish I could help him out with more boat things but he always tells me I do more than enough keeping us fed and in clean clothes (among other things lol)

I saw the bag the parts came in said McMaster Carr. That company has everything you can imagine in fittings.

- Taking a line from the Wide World Of Sports the thrill of victory ( on reciept of parts) and the agony of defeat (wrong parts/thread). - Jeff never ever Beer Tears..waste of good beer. - Sad news concerning Bob. - Thank goodness for your friend humping the parts back to you. - Sail and party on!

Wow I hope that new pump solves your issue. When you are going to run your water maker run the circulation/boost pump for at least five minutes before engaging the main pump. It really seems like a stupid thing to do, but it purges air in the system and makes sure that there isn't air bubbles on your membrane housing that could damage the membrane. I hope your membrane was pickled during the water maker down time or that could be a problem for you if it doesn't produce much anymore. Even pickling them they can degrade a little each month and yours isn't big at all. Anyway I hope you two are both well.

Yup it was pickled! I wish this was the end of our watermaker problems but …. Stay tuned lol

If everything were working, do you think the 352 is a good liveaboard and seaworthy?

Hahaha - yes I suppose we hilight the problems but isn’t that what every KZfaq channel does ? Lolol The HR352 is an extremely strong and robust liveaboard cruiser and we are happy we have her! So many great features like no keel bolts, thick fiberglass hull, kickass interior layout for a boat this size etc.

@@sailingjoco I tell you though, there is a channel where they just bought a brand new boat, and he does nothing but moan about it. His criteria for choosing was how good the joinery was.

We have met so many people in our travels so far that have purchased new or near to new boats and they have major problems ! You can’t escape it - boats are a lot of time, work and money, no matter which you choose. But - I think it’s still cheaper than rent back home (for us) in Vancouver !
