Dude truly perfect tutorial I was starting to take photography events and wanting to watermark but had the hassle of doing it all on individual photos but this just made a hell of a lot easier thanks so much 🙌

Since you mentioned Export Presets, I have a tip to share. I have set up different export presets for different purposes, with AND without water marking. That way you don't have to remember to check or un check the watermark box. For example, a facebook export preset will put a watermark on and be less quality. Where a final export to a client would not have the watermark and be higher quality. Just pick the export preset you want to use and you're done!

I dont understand; it may be because the lightroom "CC" version is different, but it doesnt even give me an export window. The only option I have is "save to". Is CC just a watered down version or am i missing something? thanks!

I have 32 presets for my watermark. Like you, I don't watermark for security, just to identify my work. I don't find "one size fits all" (so to speak) as depending on the composition and content of the image I may want my watermark in a different, less obtrusive location and at different opacities. Mine all go in corners so I have 2 basic versions (one black, one white), each can be placed in one of 4 locations (top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left) and each of these has 4 opacities (25%, 50%, 75% and 100%). Initially it took time having to choose which one to use for an individual image using the preview, but with time, I have got better at just knowing which will go best where so can now do them selectively reasonably quickly. Can't "batch" export all in one hit, but happier with the individualised outcomes.

thanks for this vid Joshua. But I'm not quite home. I had 30 or more watermarks and ID plate presets stashed in their LR preset folder. Then came Mac OS, Lightroom CC updates and other storm troopers to break the links. so frigging frustrating. I can't complain to the Dark Forces and YT vids don't help at all. your vid was a big help. maybe one day I will jump into photoshop and try it again.

how can one add second watermark/image in Lightroom? like to move each separately to according to each photo. I know it wm can be created in one image, however, size changes, not aligned well for respective photos.

Unfortunately, as talked about in many forums, Lightroom does NOT do a good job with ALL fonts. Certain fonts do not work and some are hit and miss. I gave up and bought a stand alone watermarking programme, as have many other photographers who have large batches of work.

Hello, Thank you for the video on creating watermarks. It was helpful right to about 6:01 into the video when you hit export. At that point you didnt say where it went or how to pull it back up you just opened it. Could you explain where on my computer it went at export because I cant find it.. Did you save it in a file etc....Thanks. Brian.

I think they changed the program because I have the same issue, and using Command Shift E doesn't work, its as if they removed the "EXPORT" feature in an update.

My Mac doesn't like control+shift+e... And command+shift+e just opens it in photoshop. Edit:nevermind, I just figured it out without the shortcut keys

Jim1971a you likely are using Lightroom CC which is a newer more cloud based version, the version he is using is Lightroom Classic CC

You can create an invisible watermark and that way nobody even knows you have it to crop out.

..and I think if it is visible it needs to be duplicated and spread across entire photo so a thief would have a nightmare digitally painting it out.
