I just happened to see your video about roof waterproofing. It is a very nice and educative lecture and has been very well explained for a layman to understand without any difficulty. You are doing a great job. Well done and keep it up. My best wishes for your noble cause. Just see if it is possible to give the name of contractors who has done the job. It is not for their publicity or advertisement but to get the right persons for your job. After all the work has to be done by an expert. Your knowledge will help will ensuring that No Shortcuts are made in the profess and there is no compromise in the specification. It is just a suggestion.

But please advice as, I have bought a new flat on top floor and as per the builder, the celing is waterproofing done by limetracing of 4 inches thick. Could you please make a video on this. What is limetracing and how long the waterproofing will remain.

Thanks very much for very useful explanation!!! Couple of queries: 1) Slope: how much slope per 10ft is recommended? 2) You Sai for Large Terrace, 3mmx10mm cut has to be made at 1 meter spacing and filled with Bitumen after clearing. What size is Large Terrace?! 1,000 SqFt is large? Or 10,000 SqFt? Please clarify by giving a range of SqFt for which this is not required and above which it is required.

Good demonstration and explanation. But there are other chemicals used for water proofing which have the same effect. One more thing if the seepage is through the wall that process is not clear. So throw some light on this issue as well. Awaiting to hear from you.

Excellent explanation. But please clarify for my room roof of 14 ft x 12 ft top coat of 15 mm plaster is ok or I need to do screet concreting ? My 2nd point. Is do I have to keep expansion joint @1mtr grid ? Your answer would be very useful as I need to repair my roof which got cracked at places and damping my room inside ceiling. By the way, could please also tell the difference of using ceramic vitrified tiling and water proofing explained by you which one will be better and long lasting ?
