This match was played on November 11, 2023 at Brookhaven Country Club (Farmers Branch, TX).

Even though that was a blowout, the skill by BJ and ALW was unbelievably fun to watch. I guess because I play pickleball (like probably most of you) it’s really entertaining to watch the fast hands, amazing angles, precision drops.

Note to the camera crew: don't stay on the sky view when the ball is in play. There was a point where Newman hit a shot that "almost hit Anna Leigh in the noggin" according to the announcer. People would actually like to see that and not what it looks like from a blimp or whatever several hundred feet up.

When the game sped up awhile back, Riley was at the top. He's not anymore. Ben, Colin, JW, and Dylan are better. He's got to up his game (and I think he can, but he's gotta work!) It's not his partners, it's him.

Is there a benefit to watching a point on the Birds Eye view? Kinda feel like it’s useless. 🤷🏽‍♂️

It looks like Riley noticed Ben's air paddle taps since Riley doesn't tap paddles. Ben may use that for extra motivation, which seems like a silly thing to give to Ben

ALW did the same thing. Air paddle taps to opponents that went to go sit down. I can't believe Todd did that too. 🤦‍♂️

Newman needs to understand who his meal ticket is. He is probably second best men's player in doubles but it's Ben who is the main draw and increases the purses for all of them.

Anyone know what paddle Parris Todd is using? I think she usually uses the 006 but this one looks different.

In theory it should be the Selkirk SLK Halo (she says she uses the 16mm Control version), but I have one and it does not look loke the paddle she is using in this game. The one she is using has dominant Selkirk branding whereas the Halo emphasizes the SLK brand (mid range priced Selkirks).

@@ebsmith1000 Its shaped like the Invikta but the color scheme isn't the ones in the amped or vanguard line. Maybe her own color scheme like how CP got one or production line of 006 soon?
