Of all the things I expected to happen in the movie, Wonka getting tricked into slavery was not one of them. Kudos to the writers, Miss Scrubbit and Mr Bleacher really feel like classic Roald Dahl villains.

This is hands-down, the BEST song in this movie by far. The other ones weren't bad, but this one absolutely blew me away. I love the seemingly familiar tunes that are in this movie- when I was watching, I kept thinking, "Have I heard this before?" 10/10, completely amazing and catchy song.

Yes. Paul King manages to balance the family-friendly whismical tone of the Gene Wilder Wonka version with the dark fantasy tone that Dahl's books are meant to have.

The reason that it sounds similar to Poor Unfortunate Souls and Master of the House are mainly that they have the same/very similar rhythms for the chords (The 'Oom-pah-pah-Oom-pah' in the piano at the start and in the background) as well as using the same functional chords (basically they use either the same chords in relation to the music's key, or chords that achieve a similar effect).

At first I didn't plan to go to this screening and somehow I wasn't interested, and I saw the last two Wonka films a long time ago. However, after watching the trailer and looping the song "Oompa Loompa" endlessly, I was interested in the movie but I didn't expect much from an okay movie. And after watching it, I have my second biggest surprise of 2023, My second movie of the year and one of my favorite movies and Christmas movies in general .Just a beautiful movie 10/10 "Huh? Huh?
