About Mortal Kombat:
In “Mortal Kombat,” MMA fighter Cole Young, accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage-or why Outworld's Emperor Shang Tsung has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero, an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family's safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade at the direction of Jax, a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. Soon, he finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden, an Elder God and the protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark. Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang, Kung Lao and rogue mercenary Kano, as he prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. But will Cole be pushed hard enough to unlock his arcana-the immense power from within his soul-in time to save not only his family, but to stop Outworld once and for all?

2 years later, this song STILL is legendary, and it is a great way to end the movie with a bang. Listening to this while doing some martial arts training definitely is a must, in order to become a champion of earthrealm, the song's for you.

Yeah but as far as story goes I give a 7.5 out of 10. This was the prelude to the 10th tournament. Hopefully its successful for a sequel that features the actual tournament.

@@josephsustaita549 that's how I took the movie, as a build in for the 10th tournament. Hence no Johnny Cage in this movie. Tell the story in part of the rivalry between Subzero and Scorpion's clans. That wasn't touched in the 90s movie.

Eh, I’ll admit the story certianly could have been better(at least it wasn’t Annihilation…at least we can agree on that) but for what us Mortal Kombat fans have been waiting for decades as a hard R-rated; almost close to getting the infamous NC-17 rating; movie with all the action, blood and gore without pulling any punches(if anything they punched right through that) and so many great homages to the games; I was certainly satisfied and I cannot wait for the next movie(plus, love Scorpion's new look so much I plan on cosplaying as him at anime conventions next year, just have to learn his signature kunai chain moves and get my voice ready constantly shouting “GET OVER HERE!!”)

But Bi-Han is not Quan-Chi in disguise, establishing a war between the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu, and establishing a motive for Scorpion's revenge like in the original lore. In the movie, both clans were barely introduced and explained... They just fight because the movie tells them they should fight. Making Scorpion and Sub-Zero's rivalry look weak. Also making Bi-Han 1 dimensional.

I am waiting for feedback from foreign people, I am very interested in the opinion of whether they will like the film
