The other thing about this team that I absolutely love is that there’s no one superstar or talisman player. There’s a really solid group. In the past you know our star player is going to get snapped up. From Dwight Yorke, to Benteke, to Grealish. And they were all always going to happen. At the moment I don’t fear losing any player and it being a catastrophe (apart from the goalkeeper). And I don’t think anyone wants to leave or can have their head turned either. Same with the manager. I think only Real Madrid could take him off us. What a time to be a fan! Haven’t felt like this since the mid to late 90s! A joy to support atm.

I was actually in the upper doug above the Bournemouth fans quite confused why we had the flags and the fact everyone was on their feet singing etc, (which btw, loved every single bit of it) as I knew nothing about what was going on or the fact we were with the 1897 group. But now knowing it, i was quite privileged to be up there, singing, being in charge of a flag 😁and getting behind the lads and being part of that pride. A perfect combination of this and the result today! Wish all the best for the 1897 Group!

Welsh Villa fan from Swansea since 1990 (8 years old). The ups and downs of this badge have filled me with joy and crippled me with doubt, but I've never not believed. You don't pick your football club,......it picks you. I was a young boy in 94 & 96 and I've yet to feel that buzz as a Villa fan since. I've supported Villa since 1995 but this game was my first ever at Villa Park. Safe to say it did not disappoint. The ground, the atmosphere, the performance and even the weather. When that first Villa Goal went in I was a bit emotional.

It was terrific football from Villa today. Ollie Watkins ran Bournemouth absolutely ragged. I think Emery has done a terrific job with Rogers. He has looked after him. Substituted him early on when on a yellow card in his early games for Villa to protect him. But he has shown confidence in him, and he has improved rapidly transitioning from a Championship player to the Premier League. Rogers looks the real deal and is going places.
