It's amazing. That drawing of Mullah Nasr Eddin was done by pupils working with Beryl Pogson at the dicker. My favorite book was the centenary anthology by Beryl Pogson. Some truly extraordinary pieces in there from artists (painters and writers) she knew over the years. Also, A record of meetings, and A further record by Ouspensky cannot be recommended strongly enough. A bit of a miracle there. Especially the record of his last six months of meetings before permanently moving to Lyne Place. One simply must be directly connected to source. And this is source of the highest calibre. Such a shame about k.... You know who. In the Alice through the looking glass store they would definitely have editions of The brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tales. Probably first edition also. A veritable cornucopia for the mind and soul is Cecil Court. When you come to london to see me, you can take me to the Ritz for dinner. The blinis and foie gras are on meeeeeeeee. And we'll then toddle off to Cecil Court. Sounds good to me. The Ritz. Now there's another story. Another tour. Rodney Collin lived right next door to it in St. James Street. And just off St. James Street you have the largest American hotel in London. Place called Dukes. Owned by Americans. And most of their guests are American. Beautiful hotel.

Thank you , Peter. Yes. Watkins has been home from home for many years. And we are all glad that it has survived. It was pulled from the brink of collapse in the late 1990s by two american businessmen. There always seems to be a "right time" when one comes into the work and sees wonderful things in it. And the truth of it. I have found that this "time" is completely outside of our control. That the fourth way selects people who it knows will benefit the work and influence C. That's been my experience over the last few decades. Especially when I met Gurdjieff's nephew a few years back , just at the time I was determined to leave the work behind. Hi Russ , You weren't shown the right places when you came to London. If one is on the tourist trail , it is hideous and gross. Leonida , Great to hear from you. As always , your taste is impeccable, of the finest . Yes. Jung's "il libro rosso-liber novus " is sublime. I haven't read it yet. But I really want to. And that particular edition they have in Watkins is really something else. Although at the moment I may be a bit too Jung for it. Not mature enough , like a fine gorgonzola 😳 😂 although come to think of it , wasn't Gorgonzola a French novelist ? 🤔 As soon as the camera stopped running I went to the highly praised Italian Restaurant Il Cucciolo in Old Compton Street in Soho (just round the corner from watkins ) and had some cheese and prosciutto cotto tortellini with a bottle of Chianti. I then slipped round to Bar Italia (very famous cafe in Soho ) for a few bottles of Birra Moretti's , before heading off to a gentleman's club in Piccadilly. Where lots of women were dancing around waving huge ostrich feathers 🪶 💃 🤔 I was eventually carried home on a stretcher , raving about Jung's liber novus and a place called watkins. Nice combo. Very nice. Celtic and Anglo-Saxon. That little alleyway , Cecil Court , is like going thru a portal into a truly magical world , where anything can happen and usually does. It's always been like that. London is also a deeply magical place. Well , certain parts of it. You know what I mean. The name London is taken from the roman "Londinium" and translates as "at the temple of ISIS. Cool 😎 That bookstore , Watkins , is mind-blowing. The sheer amount of books they have of an esoteric nature. And there's a second hand section at the back , where you have no idea what you'll find. But it's usually very magical and a one off. Many leading lights of the fourth way , such as Sophia Wellbeloved , have given talks there over the years. Maurice Nicoll even gave a few talks there in the late 1940s when it was owned by two men involved in the work. If you haven't heard of Sophia Wellbeloved , do check her out. Her work is superb.
