Correction- Huygen's Theory said that speed of light is greater in rarer medium and slower in denser medium, Newton's Corpuscular Theory said the opposite, that speed of corpuscles is greater in denser medium and slower and rarer medium after this Huygen came and corrected, this is the main reason why Newton's theory was proves wrong. Moreover Huygen was not able to explain Polarization and Newton's theory could not explain Interference, Diffraction and Polarization.
