I had a nightmare last night. I hope you don't mind me venting about it here, I felt this music fits it best. You don't have to read it of course, I just have to get it off my chest. I was on vacation in France with my dad, sister, and her boyfriend. We separated, I went on ahead on a different route back to our hotel, a route I thought would be faster. A little after we separated, a meteor struck nearby. A bunch of debris was raining down, I was constantly looking back to avoid falling debris as I was running away from the impact site, up north. I thought to myself, surely they have also fled by now. Surely they can't be dead. I kept running up north, for hours, until I finally arrived home, in the Netherlands. I came home, and found my mom there. She asked "where are the others?" to which I said, I don't know, I thought they'd be here by now. Of course, she'd seen the news and knew what happened. She too, however, refused to accept that they were all dead. Then we both looked at the TV, and heard the announcer say, "To everyone who hears this, I'm sorry. The shockwave from the impact will soon wipe out the entirety of Europe. May all of you watching rest in peace. I'm going to spend the rest of my time with my family now". I looked over at my mom, now in tears, and hugged her tight. We started crying in each others' arms. We stood there for what felt like hours, not saying a word to each other, just comfortably hugging each other, until eventually the shockwave hit and light filled my eyes. We smiled at each other, and not even a second later, she vaporized right in front of me. That's when I woke up, with tears in my eyes. It may not have been super realistic, but I've never had a dream that felt this real. This music... Makes me feel the same way I felt when I hugged my mom in our final moments. it's sad... But also very comforting.
