Drawing Izuku's hair literally robs me lifetime. Hope you enjoy it though!
I'm gonna admit some frames are pretty close to the manga source but I really just wanted to get this done, forgive me please.

It's honestly kind of concerning how little Izuku is showing his sadness/worry in the later story. I think that him crying was a healthy way to express his feelings but now he's just pushing through.

This fits Izuku so well! He's been treated terribly when everyone learned he was quirkless. Even when his hero said "you can't fight a villain without a quirk." It was just crushing. The song just represents Izuku's struggle of finding any hope out of his situation or at least someone to accept him.

OK but its kinda sad that Deku never learned to step out of the sun when he gets burned. He just stands there trying to ignore the pain because he is to stubborn. He isnt someone who let someone go. With that trait he reminds me of naruto who also has never given up on someone. It hurts to watch even when I know it will turn out good bc its a fucking anime.

Damn, DEH works so well with my MHA headcanon! I really think that Izuku is more anxious and maybe depressed than he seems in canon. I'm writing a ShinDeku TimeLoop!Au fanfic where this is true. He's not much more, but it's definitely noticeable

At 0:36, Bakugo's fist is shown at the word sun. Idk if anyone has picked up on this or I'm just in super analysis mode, but it's a nice detail. Mido looked at Bakugo as if he were the sun, and for Midoriya to be "out of the sun" is a good representation of what Bakugo and Mido's friendship was like. Mido adored Bakugo, and Bakugo beat Mido up, casting him out of the sun Idk if I'm taking it too far, but I'm still hyped up from Tommy's lore stream and theorizing with my friends abt lore

I've always thought DEH and MHA work so well together, this is an amazing animatic concept and Ben Platt's voice works great with Deku. Someone should get this to Justin Briner (English VA of Deku), I remember he said he loved Dear Evan Hansen in one of his interview videos, and so I'm sure he'd appreciate seeing any MHA/DEH mashup content. Loved this. Instantly added to my MHA/DEH playlist.
