Heyo everyone! I know this isn't a usual video for me, but Rockstar is holding this awesome contest to make the official music video for Wavves' song "Leave," and I saw it as an opportunity to test myself in terms of directing, editing, and storytelling. I wasn't able to use 3rd party editing software or mods, so it took a ton of planning, which is why it took a while to make. :p New comedic machinimas will be coming soon! But for now, enjoy some variety :)

I think I get it. The first guy is gay, the second guy is helping criminals, and the third guy killed someone he didn't want to thats deep

A little late to the party but the guy helping the criminals (lawyer) is the gay man and he can't leave his job (even though he is deeply ashamed of it as you can see he can't meet the eyes of the police people) because he has to sustain his very sick lover. there's also an other gay man who cheat on his future wife (you see them at a church with the guy parent at 0:40) at the start i think that's who you refer as the first guy.

A man that's bound by his parents that dont aprove of same sex relationships, a low wage janitor, a woman abused by her alcoholic boyfriend, a cheap store owner, a jail bird, a soldier bound for war,a suffering family member of a man with a terminal illness, and a cop that has to live with killing a young man! There was real thought put in this vid comando. Good job man!!!

LegendKidd77 Pretty great stuff. I watched a few others and though the camera work was good, most of them had the "trapped in prison" theme. But no one can match Flauge's attention to detail.

How the hell didn't he win the contest? This is by far better than the other ones, with many other miniature stories and overall better filmed filmed better with less cliche GTA Online aspects. All three of the winners (the main one and the runner ups) had to do with some regular gta action. The only one really deserving the runner up position should be the prison one. All true other ones are so generic.

1:58 to 2:40 is amazing!. The way the camera shakes, it's in tune with the music. This is probably the best Rockstar Editor film I've seen so far

Brilliant work. I love how you utilise the GTA's features effectively (actions, the way characters' mouths move etc.), something other directors cannot do. Excellent cinematography as always, forgot I was watching a game.

this has a great story to it, i love it! its basically showing a perspective of how their lives are, that they dont have a choice. That you got to do what you got to do to live... I love it!! i can relate to it.

As always, awesome job! For those of you who might not get it, I think I know.. Correct me if I'm wrong :p ..first guy unhappy with his wife and has a secret affair with a man. Second guy has trouble at work and at home with a sick relative. So just a hard life in general. Third guy kills another man in the line of duty and the guilt is just eating him up.

kayleesinghetto You're pretty much exactly right! Though, I wouldn't say the first guy was unhappy with his wife as much as he was unhappy with his life (unintentional rhyme). It's not that he wants to leave his significant other, but that he wants to leave his heterosexual identity. His parents are religious, as seen by the setting (and I tried to make the parents look happy/proud, but you can only do so much in a game, haha); therefore, he probably feels as though he's been living a life for them instead of himself. I love your response, and am very glad that you understood the message I was trying to show :) Thank you!

Assassinhater I actually made every single one of the characters. I took screenshots of the exact character appearance/heritage and gave it to my body actors to make new characters. Took a while, so thank you for noticing! :)
