Let's have some fun! Nebraska Football's projected win total for the 2024 season is 7.5. So the question is, will the Huskers win more or less games than that?? Adam does a deep dive into whether Nebraska will win 8 games. This is one of Adam's best shows!

It comes down to the QB. If Raiola starts and is as good as advertised, 8-10 wins is feasible. I think we will win 8 if I had to make a prediction

I’m gonna say 6-6 because of the uncontrollables like injuries and biased officiating (I’m looking at you no holding calls in 26 games or whatever ridiculous stat our opponents had until called out on national television).

7-0 start would be freakin fantastic and enthusiasm would be thru the roof in Lincoln!! Almost don’t care what happens after that, could be ranked. Just infuses confidence into a young quarterback and plays off experience of all returners getting better. Oh boy, does this fanbase need it! Talk about frustration and testing our hope beyond the max. This has to be the year, this has to be a bowl a bowl eligible season. Then we can build off that success the following two seasons and be….dare I say it…be back? See you at the Spring Game. I’ll be sporting my new Raiola #15 jersey!!

After 20+ years of Nebraska football I have learned that great expectations deliver great disappointments. 6-6 and a bowl, but won’t be surprised at another 5-7.

Adam, I would definitely be happy with a win/loss record of 8-4, but I could actually see us going 10-2 if our only two losses are Ohio State and USC? Now, everything would have to go right and is very possible as long as we take care of the ball, get our WR's up to speed, development of both sides of the trenches and our defense stays on pace from last season? When I watch Husker Athletics’ “Chasing 3” videos I get amped up for the season to begin and feel like 8 wins is almost a certainty. Adam, I think you did a great job of breaking down the schedule. I’ve been thinking 8 wins is a real possibility, without analyzing the schedule. Sounds good to me. I really believe a 3-win improvement is within reach of this team.

This is what I'm most concerned with and something not talked about a lot and that's ball security. If you can't hold on to the ball it doesn't matter who you recruited, what talent you got, what game plan you have or what your schedule is. I need to see a drill like a husker running with a football under his arm, the 🏈 tied to rope with someone pulling on it unexpectedly. Let me recap last year - Fumble, fumble,fumble, fumble, fumble. Love ya Adam. 🙅6-1 , I got to keep it real, I'm not looking farther than that.

I've noticed a huge emphasis being placed on ball security at practice. So don't think for a second it slipped past the Coaches.

@@IRONHORSE427RACING I think we might have had the most fumbles in division one. It was ridiculous to say the least. If the coaches didn't notice we got the wrong people in there. There should be an emphasis on holding on to the ball it kind of matters. GBR

When we beat CU, and handily, that will put the cheesecake on the table. When, and I mean when, we make the bowl season, that will put the cherries on top. It will be a good 2nd season to watch.

It’s crazy how large of a range I can see. I could see us winning 11 games but I can also see us only winning 5 games more than likely I see 7-5 which I will be okay with because I’m just ready to get back to bowling.

If we have the best conditioning staff in the country and the team attitude has shifted into a hungry love for the hard work and training, I see 11. If our conditioning staff is just okay and the coaches are okay with players saying I hate this time of the year the most but I’m going to suck it up and try to be a leader than we will fall short. The difference when I was a college athlete between the most successful and the least was people that said to themselves I hate this but at the same time tried to call people out were always the ones that sucked but the people that loved the painful journey and competition in practice and never half assed anything were the ones that were great. Always first always lifting the most and when they got beat they figured out how to make there technique better or how to change their diet or how to just elevate to make sure eventually they beat you. It was all because they loved the training.

Bowl is the least we hope for. New Years Day Bowl is possible. Win all home games and pull of 2-3 road games.

I’ll be very disappointed with worse than 8-4. Our possible starting defense is 9 seniors and 2 juniors. Our likely offensive starters, outside quarterback, are upperclassmen or third year sophomores. The kicker and punter are back. No excuses.

I can't see this team winning fewer than 6 games unless we have a freakish number of injuries (like 2 QBs going down). On the other hand, other than Ohio State, I think every game is winnable. Freshman QB growing pains may cost us a game somewhere (please not CU), but 8-4 sounds about right. If this team stays healthy, 10-2 seems within reach. I think we will be better than Wisconsin, and Iowa and USC are potential wins where we may be a 3-7 point underdog.

Without putting up specific numbers, success to me would mean win or lose the other team looks like we just beat the snot out of them. Along with noticeable improvement overall.

8 and 4. Losses are CU, Rutgers, OSU, and USC. So a very possible 10-2 only because I have a gut feeling a lot of those older players will ball out versus Wisc and Iowa. I think those are 75/25 win games. The teams that throw the ball well and have accurate QBs will be our most competitive games.

A successful season is 8-4. 6-6 is an F. 7-5 is an ok season. 9-3 is a great season. 10-2 sets the tone for years to come. Would love to see 10-2!

Tony White says that the D is doing things already this year that they couldn't do late in the season last year. He wasn't specific, but it sounds like this will be at least an 8 win team.

I have us as 3-3 and then 4-3. Then a loss to OSU to be 4-4. We go 2-2 after that to go 6-6 and get to a bowl game. I think we can beat UCLA but I think we get wore out down the stretch and get a "W" only against Whisky.

6-6 ceiling with a 3-9 minimum, defense will be outstanding but offense will struggle

I think against Colorado if the defense wasn’t on the field 90% of the game we can win that game I believe no problem. 1000 turnovers again and we lose again but hopefully with 2 legit QBs that can play the turnovers are very minimal

10 - 2. 7-0 to start season but actually play better football in the second half of the season but still go 3-2 with losses to Ohio State and USC. Finish in the top 20. I've drank a lot of Kool-Aid.

Actually, I like our odds with USC. The trojans will be breaking in their own new QB and defense. We will have the second year with our DC so I like our odds.
