Damn I came here for Waylon but then I heard Bill Maher say “I’m not a Republican or a Democrat I am neither!” I really wish he would’ve stayed in that space instead of going full-blown Democrat like he is now. I love his criticisms of the Democrat party but he identifies so heavily with them at the same time it’s really annoying.

Remember when he voter-shamed Jill Stein and Gary Johnson voters, despite the fact that he voted for Ralph Nader in 2000? I remember seeing a clip from Real Time where he had on Al Gore and he apologized to Al for voting for Ralph. The look on Al's face was "Why are you apologizing? That's not how it works.".

Lol Bill Maher is and has always been a Bonapartist reactionary, and Americans not understanding that is the product of a terrible education system which refuses to teach European history with any sort of critical honesty. Any support he shows for the left is entirely superficial. He may be critical of war and religion, but he’ll still defend the legitimacy of their interests. He’s always come down on the side of the capitalist establishment on the issues that matter most to them, and they’ve always rewarded him for that.
