One advantage to my being old - nothing better than seeing Waylon up front, and Ralph Mooney on the steel! My husband and I met on a blind date to a Waylon concert in 1977

Best Country Voice of all time...even when he was suffering intense physical pain..he could still sing. May be gone, but his songs will always be around.

I can not believe that anyone could not like Waylon he was one of the best there was, I miss his music and the Highwaymen, the ones that don't like him can go where it don't snow, and they can't say they are country music lovers. Love his music and always will,

I have found through life that I pick my favorite stars using a very simple formula. If you can hear them on the radio and distinguish them from anyone else with no exceptions, then you have a star!! Waylon, Johnny, Elvis,Roy Orbison etc........ God Bless them all!
@oldesttimer11 жыл бұрын
Waylon was a living legend .! ....he is still a legend ! ....no country singer ever put as much feeling and heart felt soul into his singing ...period...stress , creates the sweat,blood ,and tears that he put into every single performance ....tell me , that you can't feel that karma ? .....stage presence, etc.etc. ....it don't get no better than Waylon. !
@rubbersole7914 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with all the glowing comments on Waylon. He had it all. Fabulous singer, songwriter, and one hell of a guitar player. My brother and I covered alot of Wayons stuff back in the late 70's, early 80's. His songs are great and nobody does 'em like Wayon.

I love all kinds of music from all over the world, but I don't think I've ever spent a whole day just listening to one man sing. I've done it twice, and both times it was Waylon.

Hi - we saw Waylon probably 5 or 6 times over the years. Had tickets to see him right before he got sick - he canceled two days before the concert in Wheeling, WV, and never came back around again. I remember the day he passed away; I woke up to go to work, and turned the news on, and the story came on. Felt so incredibly sad.

I'm 32 and been a fan of Waylon since I was a little girl. Waylon is my favorite country singer. This song is just one of my favorites of his. I play guitar but nothing like the way Waylon could. He could make a guitar sing. He had a unique sound and style. I wish I could have seen him in concert and meet him. My heart is heavy because we lost him much too soon.

I've got an old concert program from Waylon's show - with the picture of he and the band from behind, and the words I've seen the world with a five piece band looking at the back side of me ... it's pretty awesome. The country music world here in the US gets on my last ner

I read Waylon's autobiography. It made me respect the man. I love his music and cannot get enough of it. His Christmas music is beautiful, too. Waylon was one of a kind and absolutely brilliant on stage. Our loss is heaven's gain. If anybody throws up his past, just remember when God forgives, He forgets.

Alright, he had some problems for years. So did most of his cohort. He did not have a 20k habit for a long time. I saw him last about 10 years ago and I can assure you that he was clean. He's an amazing man. His music is powerful and brilliant. He lived hard.

I remember when Waylon played JD's in the river bottom at Tempe, AZ. Got arrested, there, I think, for possession. About broke my heart to hear that, but I was so proud of him for getting clean and coming back. He was, and is, one of my heroes. Gone to ride the golden horse....

Waylon Got Clean in the late 80's or early 90's when he went to a dry out Ranch in Arizona. By his own admission, it was the hardest thing he ever did. I always suspected that it was the thought of loosing Jessi that changed his mind about drug's. You are correct,He was clean for about ten years,but it was about ten years to late. I seen him for the last time in 93 and he put on a great performance.

I was Waylon Jennings fan from the old days at J.D.'s in Scottsdale. I didn't like all of his song's but HE never recorded a bad one. he was a coke head. Like it or not that is a fact. That is what done him in. The coke lead to diabetes witch lead to the loss of a leg and so on and so on. I admired the man and miss his music. Thank god I have 70/seventy albumn's to hepl me remember him. He was, is and will always be my personal hero..
