I’ve seen Hamilton live 3 times (never with Leslie) and Wayne was my favorite Burr I’ve seen by far.

Yep! I recorded all the Whose Lines back in the VCR days and watched and rewatched my favorite Wayne moments. Always so fun and versatile. Wasn't hard at all to spot him as Fox. He sounds great here. Very happy for him and love how funny and humble he remains.

I have been waiting to hear him sing this ever since finding out he got to play Burr. I’m excited for him to slay dancing with the stars too. He is such a humble and hard working performer. I look forward to hearing all the great things that are yet to come too!

I had a similar thought. It feels like watching the Olympics and seeing a silver and gold medalist go at it. Wayne is fantastic, but Leslie is flawless.

I attribute Leslie Odom's performance of that song as one who has does it thousands of times, compared to Wayne who has probably not done it that many. However, Wayne Brady gave a phenomenal performance of it

I've been waiting to hear this since I heard he was Burr in Chicago and it was everything I expected. Leslie is amazing but Wayne is an amazingly close second. I love him.

Damn I didn’t even know Wayne Brady could sing. I kinda feel bad he messed up the lyrics that must’ve been a scary moment for him but he did amazing. Deff did it justice and I’d like to hear him perform it again

He is extremely musically gifted and honestly, his WLIIA stuff is legendary. Not only is he singing well, he's making the songs up on the fly AND he sings in a variety of styles while also even mimicking other singers AND staying in character.

Wayne Brady is absolutely amazing and he was absolutely made for this role as much as Leslie Odom Jr. is. Having said that, did he really mess those lyrics up? 😂 No hating, just surprised to hear a slip like that. It was supposed to be “Hamilton faces an endless uphill climb, he has something to prove…” But he said the second part, “Hamilton’s pace is relentless he wastes no time” twice instead. I know I can’t be the only person who noticed this 😂

Just one of the many hazards of stage performance! He really did nail it, managed to cover up the lyric flub so barely anyone noticed. That is true talent!

Ehh that was good except for the only thing that he did throughout most of the video was talk I think that he should've done less talking more singing.
