It's strange seeing Wayne, casually talk about his sweet guitar, knowing he's long gone but never forgotten. Thanks for sharing your music, brother, been a fan since Highschool, and I doubt that will ever change.

@Angel Messtanoffski accidental drug overdose does not equal killing yourself, just say in bruv
@revivedfears
@revivedfears 5 жыл бұрын
@Angel Messtanoffski taking hard drugs does not mean that he *wanted* to kill himself. People take drugs for a multitude of reasons but saying he "killed himself" implies intent. It was an *accidental* overdose. Most people wouldn't say he killed himself within the context of what happened as this implies suicide as the cause in some way.
@allengoodwin7043

Committing suicide shows intent. Killing yourself is simply you dying because of your own actions.

I listened to S-x so much during my teens and I found about his death from a friend while hanging out at his house meetup to go to a rave but it ended up being canceled so we all stayed there and parties. So being all hopped up with Molly and alcohol, etc made the sadness so intense. Damn drug.. makes you open yourself up so much.. it took me a while to shake it off..

@@alienz_24 Must have been a sad moment, he did not deserve to die like that, and so early. Im happy that Static X is still touring, but with a kind of "robocop" Wayne, and how they said that Wayne was not replaced, but lived through the soul and music of the band today. Sorry for my english

I was 6 years old when I first heard Wisconsin death trip in 1999. My parents went to ozzfest that year for the first time ever and I believe static x was on the second stage at that time. They came home from the concert and my dad played Wisconsin death trip album on the stereo the very next day. My parents were cool, now here I am at 27 almost 28 and I’m going back to rediscover my past of metal and music. Thankyou Wayne you will never be forgotten

I met Wayne in a club, on the first Static X tour. My friend and I spoke with him, for at least a 1/2 hour. The guy in this video, is so different, from who I met. Its really sad to see him like that. He sounded and looked, so slow and burned out. The Wayne Static that I met, was completely on his game. He was smiling, quick thinking, and full of life. He was excited about everything and really straight forward asked our opinion, of what we thought about his band. He listened to us. He hung on every word that we said to him. Like he was fine tuning a machine. He cared what we as fans thought and that what we told him would actually have weight, in what he did next. It was really cool to talk to a down to earth musician, like him. He was a rare type of person. If I could go back, i would have talked to him a lot longer. I could have, but I let other people speak to him, so that I didnt come off as being rude to them. After seeing this, I really think the people around him, let him down, by not stepping in and helping him. He deserved better than what happened to him. RIP Wayne.

As musicians, we all have our strengths and weaknesses and our own flavours. Also, try the guitar anyway, I'm sure it's as solid as the Deans I've been using since I found they suited my play style and sound. Who cares who else plays it as long as you do?

That A# tuning would definitely work better on a baritone guitar than a standard-scale one.

I still think this is one of the most sexy guitars that I ever saw. Simple, ergonomic and absolutely stunning! Dean, if you ever do a reissue, PLEASE let it be this one!

I own a Dean Custom Run Modifier ML 8 string, Serial # 1. I should ask Brad at Dean if it's the proto made for Mr. Static. None of the very few actual Modifier ML 8 guitars Ive found have the custom run logo and a few other details on mine are higer quality. Hmm.
