Ways to break in your sketchbook

Starting those first couple of pages can be super daunting when you have a brand spankin new journal. So I thought i'd put out some ideas on no stress easy going activities for the first couple of pages. These are meant to be sort of icebreakers to get the ball rolling. If you guys have anything that you like to do plz let me know in tha commentz

It’s the opposite for me 😅 I CAN NOT draw females , I’ve been drawing only males for like the past 3 years (??) funny thing is , I used to draw females only like around 2016 and I couldn’t draw males AT ALL 😂

this video really encouraged me to be free with my sketchbook. i tend to think about making it perfect and organised although, watching this video has made me realised that using a sketchbook is about expressing your inner self. thank you for this video.

I dumped all my sketchbooks because my art teacher graded me a D and eveyone doesn't like what I do, I'm not bragging but my art was decent and I couldn't understand why so I felt lost. This encouraged me, thank you!

I'm so happy to hear that!! I found doing art at school really difficult, sometimes teachers loved what I did, other times they were very underwhelmed with what I came up with . Even at university I did an art elective and I got the lowest mark I've ever gotten (almost failed lol) so, you're not alone. If you love it keep doing it! Maybe you could even ask your teacher for more feedback on your work. Good luck!!

I actually just watched this pretty much only for the music. I cant really learn anything from here regarding the journal. Because in all honesty i feel like the thing im seeing here is the creativity of one artist. Everyone has their own creative way of thinking and process of working on something. Why would i do the same thing someone else is doing. Is it really my creativity, or my personal way of finishing a challenge? Everyone has to develop their very own creative mind. But good song. I like it

I am very sure that you will never read this since this video is a year old now, but the first ever journal/sketchbook video that I came across was this one. honestly, as soon as I saw the simplicity of your videos and how you do your sketchbook made me so motivated to have a journal again, after spending over a year not journaling anymore hahaha. i love this video so much! it's my favorite one on this whole channel. hope you do another one like this soon.
