When Ten hosted a cooking show in Thailand, he spoke in Thai but then translated it to Korean to the Korean guest and then when he vlog about it he spoke in Chinese when in front of the manager and then English when he's alone in the room. Big brain

The members who can speak the most languages in NCT are 𝙏𝙚𝙣 and 𝙔𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙜 - 𝙏𝙚𝙣 can speak: Thai, korean, Mandarin, English and a little bit of Japanese - 𝙔𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙜 can speak: Mandarin, English, German, korean and a little bit of Spanish

Yangyang and Ten speak the most languages(5) out of the entirety of NCT. The *minimum* number of languages WayV speak is like 3 or 4 each. Renjun and Chenle from Nct Dream are both chinese so they speak fluent Mandarin and Korean. Mark(also in dream) and Johnny from 127 are Amercian/Canadian so they speak fluent English, along with Jaehyun who stayed in the states for 4 years. EDIT: I FORGOT YUTA AND SHOTARO ARE JAPANESE. Yuta is now really fluent in Korean and Shotaro is quickly catching up

Chenle and Renjun also both speak decent English. Chenle knew more English than Korean for the longest time and you can see him speaking English as a child and Renjun seemed to be keeping up fine with Ten and Yangyang's English in ETC (+ his IG captions are in 3 languages) Winwin also speaks the Wenzhou dialect of Chinese (which is apparently different enough from Mandarin that a Mandarin speaker wouldn't know "hello" in it) Yuta and Taeyong have both been taking a lot of English lessons lately too- they frequently communicate with English speaking fans on live now :)

The language thing is very funny indeed. I speak Portuguese as my first language then I learned English by myself and I’ve been an ESL teacher for like 5 years so sometimes I start speaking English with my parents and they don’t understand anything and I really have a hard time remembering words in both languages, sometimes I just say a random word in the other language in the middle of a sentence, it’s a struggle. I know basic Spanish too and Korean which I’m also learning by myself and doing quite ok I think lol It’s definitely complicated to learn anything tho

I can definitely see the struggle but that’s amazing that you’ve learned so many languages. I forget words in English and I just speak that. Sooo you’re doing way better than me! Lol keep up the awesome studying!

I can speak 4languages and a little bit french , sometimes i malfuntion ,especially when am doing presentations, and it’s crazzy the struggle is real , when am having a conversation with someone my mind switches languages and suddelnly am speaking arabic and then english and i panicked and the person is just sotting and like WTF lmoa

I speak English and Spanish, and decided to try to learn Korean bc I wanted to learn a new alphabet. I spent maybe thirty minutes on Duolingo before completely breaking down mentally over it, it’s SO difficult to learn new alphabets lolol

About being confused in the different languages, if you grew up knowing three or more, it becomes normal. But if you learned the languages when you’re older, than it’ll get really confusing.

I speak Eng and Port fluently and I've been studying Korean for a year now. Aside from those 3, which already give me HUGE headaches, my sister and I both speak in random bits of other languages like Spanish, French and Italian, sometimes in the same sentence. I pity my parents ngl SKDJHSKDJHSKJDHS

there was one time when i was watching a youtube video which was in chinese, and then my mom and big sis were fighting outside in indonesian, and then i got an english twitter notification. bro there was a click or a glitch in my brain and i freaking felt it, it took few seconds to come to a realization that whoa my brain just malfunctioned. so i understand ten’s struggles sometimes lol

I am late to this but I'm trying to learn Japanese and its a struggle cause I don't know what I need to buy that can help me learn it there are soo many books I just don't know which to get
