You're so right about how WayV truly enjoy performing. Although I have to say, I especially feel this with Ten. I feel like he loses himself in the joy of performance when he's on stage. His dance is the expression of pure exuberance of existence itself and he's making me think of mythological figures when he's performing. He's so free, powerful and beautiful and I'm just happy I'm living in his era😭✨

- It's pronouned 'shao-jwin' - They do have behind the scenes for all these songs. You'll be able to see there how Ten contributes to the choreographies as well. - They do have lore but it's not that consistent so some fans (even the members themselves) don't bother to keep up with it - The fact that Ten debuted in NCT as a rapper with only having a short rap verse is crazy. His vocal development is insane. - I'm glad more people are discovering and stanning WayV!

Thank you for showing WayV the love they deserve. And next time hope you check out their Phantom, On My Youth and Turn Back Time. Those are my fave title tracks from them and i live that they are so different from from each other. Like it's amazing how WayV can do all concepts and not keep on repeating the same style over and over again yet still maintain that WayV sound. Also i wonder which Ten solo stuff you've seen cuz i suggest you also watch his older mvs, dance practices and performances cuz he's just so amazing.

I think WayV old school music influence start earlier than the whole industry. WayV music has R&B in it. All of WayV album are a no skip.

If dancing is your jam, grrrrrl you need the dance practice for Ten's solo called 'Birthday' and his 'Performance Film: 10' (this is a promo that features 2 songs off his debut solo album... 'Nightwalker' is the title track though and you should totally check it out tooooo) There is an mv for 'Birthday', but if you can only watch one, let it be the practice. IMO it's superior bc you get the full choreography piece, which absolutely deserves to be seen in it's entirety, as well as Ten's bonkers execution of it. For your next foray into WayV though, go with 'On My Youth', 'Phantom' and/or 'Bad Alive'. Sadly, a lot of SK fans tend to turn their backs on foreign groups and is one of the reasons why WayV is only just now garnering their first music show win. They've had a LOT of setbacks since debut... from the Chinese government not allowing them to have the NCT moniker (had that not been the case, they would have been NCT Vision, but as it stands WayV is an acronym for We Are Your Vision) causing confusion among the slower parts of the fandom and the group being treated as separate and less than by some... to the pandemic halting their ability to travel to China for promotions for so long... to the sad circumstances of what happened to Lucas... to Label V just not seeming to know how to promote them in China AND SK, and so on... but thankfully, they seem to be gaining momentum again.]

I would recommend reacting to some of their older songs like Moonwalk, Turn Back Time, and On My Youth ( my favorite title tracks) they did have a member who left so keep that in mind tho :)

I am Atiny and Wayzennie. So this promotions were so exciting. I really love both groups. Also WayV is a super funny group. I love this!!

Wayv are my ults, they're literally the most underrated but most hardworking group, and the talent (vocals and rap always on point, they have songs in four different languages and they speak even more languages+the infinite fun and chaos xD). Tbh they've been through so much crap, i mean just the fact that they've never had a real concert/ only recently got their first win says a lot. Also the reason why their fandom is smaller than other nct units is mostly because people are close-minded towards newer units and don't consider them as a part of nct ,even when other nct members always include them and absolutely love them and enjoy working with them. The good news is that things are looking up now, they're going on their first tour and im pretty sure they'll make multiple stops in america because it's going on till early 2025. The six of them are genuinely such good people and deserve the best so thank you for giving them a chance 🫶🫶

Since you asked... 🙃 NCT doesn't so much have "lore" as it does a concept... that concept being dreams, dreaming, dream-walking... which is sort of Inception-like, where they are able to enter one another's dreams. So, often members are depicted as sleeping/waking, and dreams/realities are frequently referenced in their lyrics. I personally love the concept since it allows every comeback to be wildly different and/or weird bc it can all be chalked up to just being another dream. Student hackers being sucked into a shooter-type video game with a cowboy/rodeo aesthetic, mixed with an abstract old Vegas strip setting that feels super neo. Sure... why not! 😂😂😂 (see Who Is Sticker? And Sticker mv) WayV hadn't been shown as being a part of the dream concept directly though, and started out with more of an otherworldly/alien thing (which COULD be spun as them dreaming)... but that isn't really being shown anymore and instead appear to be starting to go towards the rest of the group dream concept, bc in the last full group mv (NCT 2023 - Golden Age) a lot of keys 🔑 were depicted and Xiaojun was at one point submerged in water... then shortly after in WayV's On My Youth era they showed keys again and Xiaojun soaking wet... but what it all means, 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ no clue! Our baby neos in Wish so far, have been students fighting an alien blob pre-debut... then for debut, they were cupids who were terrrrrible shots... then docents in a cupid museum for their first comeback trailer... and followed immediately by an mv where a member dreams they're mailmen who deliver candy that grants wishes. 😂 So my guess is, the dream concept lives on. SM Entertainment, under its founder Lee SooMan, did have an ambition to create the SMCU storyline (SM Culture Universe), where all their artists/groups would intersect at some point and was well on its way setting everyone up to have actual lore, that would ultimately result in a good vs evil scenario. However... with LSM leaving SM and him being the driving force pushing the concept forward, we're not sure if that all still applies. Aespa (girl group) is still depicting a real world vs digital/AI world storyline... but no idea if any other groups will eventually tie into it. (if you haven't checked them out, you totally should... they are AWESOME)

Kun does a lot of cool magic so u should check out some of his magic stuff. He recently performed on a show with the magician Patrick Kun :) Xiaojun’s voice is one of the best in 4th gen, u should check out his covers and Lee Mujin service ( he was the first NCT member on there) :)

I had fun watching this reaction! I've listened to WayV for a while now, but more casually, but with this most recent comeback I took the time to get to know them through other content as well. Not entirely sure of my bias right now, but it's looking like it might be Kun! His voice is so sweet, and I really like what I've seen of his personality so far. But all of them are so impressive, and Ten definitely has that strong magnetism. Just a couple FYIs: the track video for Poppin' Love isn't the full song, so if you want a version that's longer than 2 minutes (which I did, since it sounds so good) you can also listen to the bside without any video. Also, just a heads up that you listened to Give Me That in Chinese, not the Korean version. The video is pretty much the same, though (only minor differences when they're singing in Chinese since they had to have the lip syncing match), so it probably wouldn't have made a difference for your reaction anyways!
