In the history of boxing there has never been a boxer that maintains perfect constant precise distance from first round to the last round than Bivol. thats why hes as good as he is even though people might look at him not as athletic as some boxers its because how he maintains perfect distance consistently. its like theres a invisible 3foot pole that maintains the gap between him and his opponent. amazing!

Bivol adapts well. Quick reflexes and excellent ability to fight at range and close the gap instantly. Salamov was an excellent opponent. Two warriors fit for the battle. Hats off to Bivo;l and his team for Bivol's success

Beterbiev can and will beat him ... Everyones looks good until them later rounds against Artur, while i'm a huge fan of Bivol i think Gvozdyk was a better rounded boxer with more in his arsenal, took better angles and wasn't so linear ... Gvozdyk was also primed as the undisputed candidate at 175 after having knocked out Adonis Stevenson and put him into a coma, which at the time was the most feared man in the LH division and yet Beterbiev steam rolled Gvozdyk like he does everyone else ... Bivol ain't never had to face that kind of adversity and as much as i love watching him box i don't think he's ready for that.

Man, it is hard to get a solid hit on Bivol. The footwork and the quick hands make it damn near impossible. Meanwhile you’re absorbing those 4 and 5 punch combinations. I got Dmitri against Canelo.

I think Bivol vs Beterbiev would be the fight of the year. Beterbiev is extremely powerful and forward boxer and Bivol is a technician... If Beterbiev lands one of his signature punches, how would Bivol react. Would Bivol allow Beterbiev to get close enough to land a punch?

One thing I noticed is that Bilov actively blocks punches. Whenever he sees a punch he throws one of his own towards the opponenet's fist. Unbelievable!

The JAB of Bivol is like Missile Supersonic; his opponent does not have defense against it. This fight was 7 feet and 3 inches vs 6 feet and 10 inches. Bivol's versality is like gelatin so he is amazing and difficult to predict by his opponent. Another thing about Bivol is that he is humble boxing professional.

Strange to see how quickly the crowd dispersed during the ring interview? As others have noted Bivol seems to be the only Russian fighter who has developed the jab so well. It's almost as if his opponents are so hypnotised by it they tend to forget he also has a strong right hand.

Beg to differ. Kovalev was known for knocking people down with his jab and this movement is called the "pendulum step" You will see it a lot more in European and Soviet style boxers. In the Olympics and amateurs too.

Usyk does some similar things with his lead hand, of course he is looking for the outside angle and the left straight but both Usyk and Loma use their lead hand to setup the power shots very, very well.

Look at how well Bivol fights when he doesn't have a size advantage. Even though they are both light heavyweights, the size difference in this fight looks about the same as Bivol vs Canelo, but in this case Bivol was the smaller man.

Bivol has good defence and sense of timing. Salamov need to improve on his jabs and counterpunch. Using left arm to measure for a right punch, but hesitant to pull the trigger. His punches become predictable for Bivol to dodge. If there is a second fight, he better attack Bivol's body more. 👍👍👍👍👍

Salamov constantly puts his long arm in Bivol's face to keep him away and was caught putting his feet on top of Bivol's toes to keep him at bay for easier hitting. Once Salamov even slammed his elbow against Bivol's head when they were close. But there was really nothing Salamov could do to beat the now legendary Bivol.

Bivol doesn't waste too many punches and he's quite a sharpshooter, he's also pretty fast and moves pretty well. This guy is not a pushover by any means.

One boxing website article I read suggested the reason that Canelo took the fight against Bivol was because he didn't perform as well as in this fight as he usually does. If that was the real reason, Canelo will be in for a surprise. Bivol was had a clear size disadvantage as Salamov was huge compared to him. I would love to know what the weight difference was between these two on fight night.

Canelo been fighting cup cakes his feet are cement at 175. Better check your training again… Canelo never fared well against boxers . Bivol the second best fighter behind mayweather he will have fought. One other thing This is light heavy weight Bivol one who will be hitting the harder punches. Power doesn’t transfer as you move up in wright unless you are on something… you can ask manny about that. 🤭🫠

It's amazing how Bivol gets his opponent so frustrated that he ends up using dirty tricks to try to regain control. Here Umar couldn't figure out how to get Dmitry off him so he constantly pushed him. And in round 3 you can see he missed a lot of punches and that pissed him off so badly he threw an elbow to Bivol when he got close enough. That shows that Bivol doesn't just takes you appart physically, but also mentally.

The standing position of Bivol is just like that of the greatest heavyweight champion, Iron Mike Tyson.
