I can't wait until they have more practices and get together! It's like people either ignore her tons of ESPN highlights over the past 2 years, or they just want to hate because she's white, as if the league hasn't been predominantly black since it started! She had maybe one or two players who could help her while she had to put up a 40 piece to try to help them win, AND putting up triple doubles in a the women's tournament against SC And LSU stacked teams!

That will work for the Fever if the rest of team can take advantage of that. - ??????? Is the coach taking advantage of that ?????? One thing is for sure, if the opposing team has to resort to stopping them from scoring by sending CC to line, that is going to be a loss in the books for the other team. You will probably see more hard fouls/flagrant T's at the end of close games.

I don’t get the over the top love. I like her but she needn’t receive specialized treatment. There are better players in the league at this stage of her career. She will get there but she’s a good rookie player but not great.

@@ericwillingham6956 I've only watched 3 games with CC. No question, most of the TOs are passes others should have gotten. If there were an Error ala baseball, the recipients would have a LOT of those TOs instead of CC... I personally think BB should have the TO/E stat - if it's a handleable pass you screw up, you get the E and the passer doesn't get a TO... TO+E would have to equal what TO would be... So few games in and getting used to the timing, player skills etc - she'll trim down the misses and gaffes, she's obviously too smart a player to NOT do that...

The problem for the rest of the league is if they play a clean game against CC they will lose most or those match ups. None of them have experienced these basketball skills before and they don't have an answer for it. That is why this league has never been successful. They have only the survived on the charity of the NBA (and on only a couple the best player at that)

CC running around playing, at the end there, where's the rabbit, (I've got the rabbit)catch me if you can, wild, taking the clock down. And Mystics, amazing play. Just able to make 3s in a blur. It was a good, very, very close game. Mystics are young, but you can tell they are jelling. Good game everybody, could have gone either way.

I quit following tennis after Connor, Everett Navratilova, Lendl, Becker Agassi maybe a little bit Samson but nothing until the Williams sisters and I didn't really watch it, but I paid attention to it. and then once in a while, we watch a little bit of the newer guys.

Another Indiana Coaching failure. You do not slow down the game to let your opponent catch their breath, you pound it down their throats, make them make mistakes and when you find out which of your players can't handle it, you know which ones to trade. Boston is at the top of my list right now, along with the Coach!

They explained why. The girl that replaced her is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league. When you're going on defense late in the game you don't need a lights out shooter you need a lights out defender. She puts her right back in when they are in a shooting situation.... pretty simple strategy

Because there are coaches who want the limelight. Remember Pete Carroll against the Patriots in the superbowl on third down on the one yard line with the best powerback in football passing the ball. Stupid stuff like that. All about trying to look smart rather than let players have it. Let the stars shine as they should.

It’s a strategy play. Caitlyn is put right back in. If you don’t play basketball it’s hard to explain the whole strategy behind it. You will notice that the mystics will do the same thing with their players.

The offensive coaching is terrible. Teams are doubling Clark and the other players are not coming to the ball - 3 on 4. They need multiple quick close passes not these cross court ones which lead to turnovers

The Mystics Played Hard, Played Physical, and with All the help from The Fever Coach, Christie Sides, Erika Wheeler, Kelsey Mitchell, and a Aliyiaah(SIC) Boston, they very nearly Won this game, but they also played Fair, Basketball with no Cheap Shots, Blind Side Shoulder Checks, or other Violent Nonsense, so Kudos To The Washington Mystics. The Players, their Coach and everybody involved for doing it Right, trying their Best, and Keeping It Clean. They won't be Last Place a whole lot longer, from what I saw tonight. I figure The Mystics will get there quicker than Caitlin's Fever Will......For The Fever, There is the Little Matter of A NEW COACH, and a few NEW PLAYERS that have to be dealt with, first, but Caitlin Will Take Them There.....Bank On It. After what I saw tonight, that Little White Girl From Iowa, Can Do ANYTHING She Puts Her Mind To, and I can't wait to see it. "She's Like That"

Because CC is primarily an offensive player. She substitutes others in for defense at the end of a tight game, then puts her offensive players right back in when they get the ball back. It's good strategy, actually. It's probably the only smart thing that Christie Sides does.

CC missing that last free throw is the reason Wash only had 1.7 seconds to throw it in and shoot. Had she made it, they would have a stopped clocked or timeout to advance the ball with over 5 seconds left. She's selfless and high IQ. No way she just "missed" that on accident.

Did you notice Clark drove along the baseline and didn’t try a reverse layup? Kill more clock hoping to force a foul. Finally, two possessions later Clark at the line. In close games the opposition faces a no win with ball in Clark’s hand; let Clark dribble & dribble until a teammate is open or send Clark to the line. Fouling Clark almost worked. Fever’s Mitchell did her best imitation of Gabbie Marshall disrupting that pass.

Does anyone know the story behind what’s going on with Aliyah Boston? She’s really bad at…everything. She went from premier player to arguably the worst center in the entire league. In one season. Godspeed to her getting through it but the fever can’t squander the talent of their roster waiting for her to sort it out. They gotta get somebody in there who can ball, get some offensive boards to support the three pt game, and have a little grit as an enforcer.
