How is amateur even vaguely relevant? In ranking professional fighters only their professional fights count. Usyk became a two weight class undisputed world champion in 22 fights. If you don’t get why the amateur stuff does not factor in here you are an idiot or don’t even know the basics about boxing.

Everything about the money > integrity WBC is a disgrace. Once upon a time the most respected sanctioning body with the most prestigious green belt. Mauricio has done a HORRIBLE job in the 10 years of his presidency & as far as I'm concerned made them the least respected of the big 4. From allowing champions to avoid mandatory obligations, affording them long periods of inactivvity & protecting drug cheats with tall tales of contamination. As a hardcore boxing fan I very much dislike the WBC.

Amazing that the 89 year old Boxing Hall of Fame journalist scored the fight perfectly when so many other people couldn't figure out that was a clear Usyk win. Guess it helps not having a financial investment in seeing Fury win. 1-3 Usyk, 4-6 Fury, 7 swing, 8-11 Usyk by a mile, 12 swing. 115-112 Usyk if you give both swing rounds to Fury. Not difficult to score whatsoever. The card in Fury's favor was absolute lunacy.

What he's done in boxing is genuine P4P GOAT material. He's in that discussion. Ukrainian, European, Commonwealth, Olympic champion, Undisputed Cruiser champion, Undisputed Heavyweight champion in an era where he's going up against people twice his size, fighting everyone away from home soil and clearing out one of the strongest ever cruiser divisions and now beating the other top 2 monsters in the heavyweights without once ever looking in serious trouble and having never been put down whilst giving away 30+ lbs in weight and several inches in height. Over the years he's used 'the power of the pen' to destroy boxers he doesn't like and Fury who has a habit of being rude obviously has upset him in the past. Compubox stats round by round outlanded fury every round except 3...usyk led in every significant punch stat and he controlled the pace the whole fight and kept fury backing up and all those things is what wins decisions...usyk 8-4 with the 9th round standing knockdown ....if fury thinks throwing 85 more punches but landing alot less wins fights then somebody needs to let him know thats not how it works...fury did the best he could against usyk..he came in great shape and he was moving around really good, sticking that jab, going to the body and the head mixing in his uppercut but that didn't last long...usyk figured out how to get around all that and then he turned up the pace typical usyk fashion and the 9th round is what really swung the fight in usyks direction ..after that all he had to do was keep pace and keep landing more the fury ...fury didn't land enough....thats the thing he threw 85 more punches but landed alot less than usyk...usyk was trying to win rounds by not only throwing punches but also making sure he landed as well...fury was trying to steal rounds

Unlike the commentators who were only giving Fury props for every little thing he did, but said nothing most times when Usyk was doing brilliant. That is why I think the old good commentators like Jim Watt and Glenn McCrory were way better than these new boys and girls, the older ones told the fights as it was with no BS or preference, just facts, but these newbies just scared of losing their pay check, so sway easily, I use to respect Barry Jones takes on fights, but even he was talking nonsense as he was boosting Fury performance as he obviously wanted Fury to win.

Stamina, speed and mobility got Usyk over the line. Fury had never fought a Cossack. When you consider Usyk is actually older than Fury.

Good on this guy to tell the truth. Judge cheated & the ref cheated, there should have been a knock down, but as we all saw the ref saved Fury.

WBC judge should be stripped of his credentials 🥊🥊 absolutely ridiculous decision making the bout a split decision ..P.S. ref had a shocker in the 9th too with that standing count…time stood still for at least 6 or7secs more 🥊🥊😬

I agree 100%. It was almost another railroad job for Fury, and it wasn't as close as the scorecards said. Usyk carried the fight to the much bigger man and won decisively on my card, I had the same 115-113 for Olek and no way did Fury win a majority of rounds.

Colin Hart is correct, Usk won the fight convincingly.Tyson Fury is in decline, and he is declining far faster than any other boxer - probably down to his drug and beer binges, it's bound to cause damage to one's physicality. By contrast Usk has kept in the peak of fitness and taken care of his physical and mental health. Usk is a wonderful ambassador for boxing.
