It's not just gaming going through issues. Nobody really has expendable cash right now. If these publishers really want to make money they'll start narrowing teams. Instead of having 1000 people work on one game take your best who can work together and make them work on your flagship title. Less people means less need to cross check work. Have your other people working in unreal engine to produce shorter less expensive games. Have some hybrid teams of vets and younger guys working together on ways to reuse old assets to make cheaper more frequent games. The number one reason COD is so successful is that it releases every year.

@@soshady9572 multiple studios make multiple versions. The development time of each COD game is around two years. They consistently reuse assets. That is my whole point.

@@2leftfeet113 , the dev time per game is 3 years and the only reason they can release a game per year is because of the multiple studios and thousands of people making them.

@@soshady9572 They're reusing pretty much all of the assets. That's the reason why the last three games are all in the same launcher because it's the same base game.

Praying we see Perfect Dark at the showcase next month. I'm still feeling pretty off about the state of Xbox and Microsoft's bad decision-making / leadership. Hopefully, the game is great and doesn't have anything unnecessary in it that can ruin the games tone, atmosphere and gameplay.

'F' Square. After going also a whole generation ignored by them I've moved on from Final Fantasy. Capcom and Atlus have filled that void.
