Dave Kaylor is the solo anchor tonight on this classic newscast from the CBS affiliate in Columbus, Ohio. Stories include the future of the employment for downtown construction workers, a proposal to connect two roads, coverage from the Republican National Convention in Dallas where an arson also took place downtown, Walter Mondale and Gerladine Ferraro's latest move in their campaign, the new Miss Columbus, Ohio crowned, as well as Janet Watkin's pleasant weather forecast. Later, after a tip on the bacterial dangers on dying Easter eggs, Mike Gaynes sports report features major and minor league baseball scores, news, and highlights, football training camp coverage, and some championship caliber softball at Rhodes Park. Finally, a high-rise daredevil climber that could lead to penalties for imitators.
