Nice interview, and the interviewer is rather cool. He listens to her, and he introduces topics rather nicely. He's a bit formal, but enjoyable to listen to. Carrie's answers are very real and not at all hyperbolic, just appreciative of where she is. I suppose having grown up with parents in the business gave her perspective that other actors starting out may not have had.

The television she refers to was probably Come Back Little Sheba with Laurence Olivier and Joanne Woodward. She would go on stage in Agnes of God though.She knew a lot about the history of the studios and contract players from her mother. She told the interviewer that the number of films went from 4 a week to 4 a year and that it was hit or miss. Funny to hear the price of admission was $4 in 1977. As a 12 or 13 year old kid when I first saw SW Especially the ending awards scene…she was like the prettyish girl I had ever seen in my life at the time. And the harmonics in her smooth voice is hypnotic…My Goodness I hate that she had those additions that made her age early. So humble down to earth and cute as a pie, however Her mom Debbie has her beat when it comes to being cute…Debbie R. In 1954. …wow WHAT…..!, But Carrie has her own mega cool cute thing going on.. what a delightful blast from the past. SO GLAD I WAS A KID WHEN STARWARS came out…life is hard at times but escaping into the SW universe from time to time is golden. You wonder how it all when so wrong for someone like Carrie fisher that appeared on the surface so well adjusted and balanced and together and came across in some interviews especially the 1977 star wars interview with Harrison Ford in which she was interviewed in french, and came across as a very competent speaker within the french language.. You have to ask yourself at what stage did she start to develop an addiction to drugs, or was this simply a case of been involved in this hollywood circle of debauchery that somehow always ends in tragedy..

Its strange that she 'seems' so balanced and together when she was young, compared to the older Carrie.

The world is a lesser place without her in it.

When I saw the sequels and Rogue One(not seeing Solo), I paid $10. $4 in 1977 is equal to almost $17. You only pay that much if you're going to a XD 3D showing. At least it didn't get as bad as she had worried about.

There are many beautiful women but very few real ladies...

People have been saying TV was going to put movie theaters out of business for 50 years. But it still hasn't happened yet. Remember that next time you hear someone predicting streaming is going to kill movie theaters.

funny she figured it was a dying medium back in 1977.....get a load of it nowadays with streaming services murdering originality and cinema success. Most films are sequels or reboots now with a lot less originality. Or at least most original titles are stuck in small screen independents. $1 for a candy bar!? bargain.
