Absolutely, I live here, and my neighbors are probably the most racist people that I've ever met, and I've lived everywhere in the US.

Fun fact, every white majority state have the most socio economic privileges than ethnic counterpart states, Using the construction industry as an example, Minnesota Vermont Maine Texas Pennsylvania, states with a history of Jim Crow and exclusion have less or no taxes, no regulations building codes or licensing requirements , in Minnesota contractors can advertise and provide services in any trade of their choice without a license state permission or certification, similar to other white majority states, but in ethnic states like Arizona or California, there are experience requirements, insurance requirements, testing and entry requirements, and costs that far exceeds national averages which in turn reflects low ethnic incomes, homeownership rates, and equality in the labor force. To add all these white majority state have far less high costs of housing in which contributes to the white flight or white enrichment that affects minorities in this country and many states

Long past time for white MN to start asking important questions, not just easy, safe ones. Most white Minnesotans are completely oblivious to how their modern privilege is under-pinned by First Nations genocide, the Mankato Massacre of 1862, etc., let alone modern structural bias. How did modern white Minnesotans acquire such a wealth of social benefits, good housing, socio-economic status, great schools, and upon who's backs have they been built? How do white Minnesotan's, and North and South Dakotan's, think Lakota/Dakota Nation members see these issues? Now add to that, Black and Latino Americans? Even now, how is this issue affecting employees at places like meat packing plants?

well White MN did not do on backs of blacks. Slavey never happen in Minnesota. They built them selves. Simply put they only want whites to be in Minnesota. It why racial disparities are so bad because it their way of say we do not want non whites there. Texas on other hand had a history of slavery. So black all ready there. over time in become apparent that more racial integration was needed to ensure social cohesion

To answer that last question, in a lot of meatpacking plants, factories, etc., the racial disparities show up in not just the lack of advancement for people who aren't white, but also the distribution of the workload. White entry level workers tend to be given more leniency when it comes to taking the job slow and taking time to chat instead of working nonstop, while the rest of us get scolded, punished and scrutinized for having the audacity to rest our bodies while being expected to take on the lion's share of the work.

Why are white Minnesotans seemingly oblivious to the socio-economic disparities between them and First Nations tribes in MN and neighboring states? Could this social blindness be the origin of blindness to systemic racism in general in the white population in the state???

"First Nations" is a word dictated to the talking head meat puppets, and the middle man said, "I'll take the white taxpayers money and give it to you like they told me to , but only if you start calling yourself "First Nations" to make the whites feel guilty" And Minnesota Indians are actually doing quite well with tax free casinos, communication towers, gas stations, excetera, they wouldn't have done as much for their enemies had they won the war, but because the compassionate tribe demanding "liberty and justice for all" who did winthe war, is a different color, you have a problem with it. That's because (you) are the racist.

Well for all the flaws of academia (institutional racism being one), at least we have documented proof to show the nonbelievers. And there are a LOT of nonbelievers, especially the ones who fervently claim to not be racist here in MN
